Very convenient location to go around Tokyo. A couple of restaurants around. Overall, not a fancy place, but a functional one.

The entrance of the hotel looked quite shabby, but don’t be fooled by it. The rooms were extremely clean. We had housekeeping every day. Additionally, there were complimentary amenities that you wouldn’t expect from a three star hotel. The hotels in Europe with three stars will give you nothing basically. The hotel was 10 minutes by walking to the subway station, which directly takes you to do Haneda airport. There is also another subway station which is five minutes by walking, and this line takes you to all the places where you need to be. I’m quite satisfied with the work of this hotel and will definitely think of staying here in my next visit.

I stayed in a room facing the roads, so it was quite loud at night with cars passing through. The hotel feels old, and windows are not can’t block the sound. Wouldn’t be the first choice

Nice hotel, the room has everything: kettle, hair dryer, refrigerator, air conditioning, etc. The room was cleaned every day.
The location is great: in a straight line to Ueno, to Sky Tree, to the Palace and other locations (on different lines, but without transfers). The most convenient thing is that the hotel is located about a two-minute walk from Mitsukoshimae and 5 minutes or less from Nihonbashi, and a direct train from Haneda Airport comes here, I didn’t even have to change trains. And I walked with my luggage to Tokyo station in 15 minutes.
The only downside I’ll note is the breakfasts, or maybe I got there on a day when the choice of hearty dishes was small.
Otherwise, for the money, it’s great, and almost in the center of Tokyo, in a nice and quiet area.

It was a mixed bag.
The location was very good, close to the Ginza and Hanzomon subway lines, and within walking distance of Tokyo Station. And the price seemed a little low.
The building seemed old, but it was well-cleaned and clean. The hotel had announced that there was construction work in front and to the right, so it was likely to be noisy during the day. There were no problems at night or in the early morning.
I was surprised at how dated the in-room facilities were. The shower had good water pressure, but it took quite a while to heat up when I first used it, which made me feel uneasy.
The toilet had a heated water washer, but it was a fairly old model, which reminded me of the time I first used it at the office a long time ago. It didn't have a heated seat function, which is now commonplace, and I miss that chilly feeling. I also miss the loud sound of the refrigerator motor and the sound of it turning on and off, which bothered me while I was sleeping.
The Showa-era smiley face is used as an eye-catcher, and it even made me think that this was a retro experience-type entertainment from the Showa and early Heisei eras.
The most inconvenient thing was the step in the large unit bath, which I sometimes come across. It's about 30cm high, so you have to be careful when getting in and out. I think it's now too difficult for elderly people.
The front desk was polite and nice, but that alone is not enough to make it a favorite.
When I first made the reservation this time, I was inadvertently attracted by the high reviews, but after my stay, I looked more closely and saw that there were too many questionable reviews...

Very close to Mitsukoshimae Station. Very large rooms. The grilled oysters and skewers in the shops around the hotel are excellent and economical. Depart from Tokyo. Take a chartered car to and from Izu Plateau and Mount Omuro. It is also convenient to go back and forth on the same day. On the way back, I also took a photo of Mount Fuji reflected in the sunset in the chartered car. 🗻 Ah🎏 You can stay here again next time👍🥳

The location and the service provided by the staff are excellent.
The price is also lower than the market average, which is helpful.
On the other hand, I think they may have cut costs too much when it comes to equipment investment. Even each and every piece of furniture in the room is the same as when I stayed there 2-3 years ago, and they're all vintage! I think it's great to take good care of things and it's part of our culture, but I can't help but wonder if they've also cut costs on things like safety equipment.
So I'm not very satisfied with the amount I paid, and I'm worried that there may be sloppy response and unusable evacuation facilities in the event of a fire or other emergency.

Every time I'm in Tokyo, I stay at Smile Hotel. It's very suitable for traveling alone. The location in front of Mitsukoshi is also very good. It's very convenient to go to various classics. I look forward to my next trip to Tokyo.
