I have stayed at The Red Lion some years back. This time I was very pleased to see that the interior decoration had been updated. The room I had was very pleasantly decorated with William Morris wallpaper. The breakfast and restaurant and restaurant area had had a facelift too. Definitely an improvement from what it looked like previously. The staff members at reception were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Spent 2 nights at the Red Lion. Lovely and welcoming, the staff are super attentive and friendly. We stayed in the Lion Suite with the fab bath tub, which was beautiful. Other parts of the room looked like they needed a touch up of paint, as there were a few scuffs and chips of paint here and there, otherwise a good large room, with comfy bed. We ate in the Restaurant one evening and the food and service was very good. Breakfast was average on both days and let down an otherwise great stay.

I stopped at the Red Lion for just over a week for work. On arrival Jude on reception couldn’t have been more efficient or more helpful as she has been all week. The epitome of what hospitality is all about. Room excellent clean and well presented. Lovely extra touches like biscuits and chocolates. Serviced every day too by a lovely lady (did t get her name) but so understanding. Food and service fab all bar staff welcoming (especially as I’ve been on my own for some of the week). Breakfast great too. It’s a busy lively place but there are also nice quiet corners to sit if you want to. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shannon, Mia & Arlie were absolutely fantastic, 10/10 . The food was bang on and the vibe in the pub as a whole was brilliant. I had the cod and chips with scampi and my friend had the steak and ale pie which was cooked to perfection. Such friendly faces and reminded me to put my car registration in. Will definitely recommend to friends and other family.
