The site is beautiful. We had fish and chips, pate starter and two medium carvery. Some beers , tea and pepsi. It was all good. The staff were great. Make a trip it is worth it.

We have stayed at the fisherman's cott about 5 times now, we pick here for the wonderful location, which never fails. Unfortunately this time we were less than impressed with our stay. The room was comfortable but the bathroom needed a good clean and some redecorating. Shower leaked. Food was average, overpriced. On our first night we booked a table but waiting 45mins for our drinks was a bit much. Service was patchy, when some of the older staff were busy, the younger ones didn't seem to be bothered. My husband lost something there in the garden it wasn't handed in so someone stole it.!

A lovely relaxing piece of heaven. The pub gardens, the river, the staff and of course our room (number 5) was amazing. The carvery was value for money. The view of the river was out standing. We will definitely will be back. The only downside was housekeeping knocking on the door before check out.

I’m going out of my way not use the “Purple” options anymore, especially as this was going to be a really warm night! On my trips away I’ve normally done 500+ miles and have no interest in mooching about wherever I am. It’s typically; Shower Eat Bed Really pleased with this decision. All round lovely little spot on the river, in the shadows of an old bridge. Beautiful spot to sit and calm back down after the day. Good food, cold drinks, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Happy!

Five of us visited the Fisherman’s Cot on Friday. The lunchtime menu was varied and we were all able to find 2 courses we liked. Chef was very flexible and ensured the sausage and mash was gluten free for one of our party. The service was quick and timely. I would definitely visit again and would recommend.

Location 5* Our room number 2.... -1* Without going into grim details it wasn't clean lots didn't work heating, lighting, TV the whole room needed a deep clean and refurb.I am a fairly seasoned business traveller so I can relate to the good and bad very well. So sad this hotel is in an absolutely stunning location the food was typical Marston and reasonable the staff were excellent, a shout out to the bars manager Devina who attempted to solve the issues but sadly was failed by house keeping. I have photographic evidence of the rooms state. (not a pretty picture)
