"nice environment. Hygiene is very good. The front desk is a bit casual. In the morning, an old man was on duty at the front desk to collect keys without wearing work clothes, as if he was filling in for a second shift."

📍 Chichén Itzá, Tinum

"The hotel is an absolute gem—brand new and impeccably maintained! Don’t let the 1km unpaved access road intimidate you (we were at first); as you approach, the stunning building emerges like a sparkling reward at the end of the tunnel! 😀 One side offers a glimpse of the Mayan pyramid’s peak—pure magic! The other side overlooks the spacious pool and lush gardens. No matter your room’s view, you’re in for a treat. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room service is a steal—totally worth it. The pool is inviting, though the water felt just a touch chilly to me."

"The first hacienda, which was said to have been built by Spanish colonists, has a history of 400 years. The main building is very beautiful, the garden is large, and the ancient trees are towering. Adrian at the reception was very nice, helped to call the car, order bird watching, massage, let us wash the clothes that accumulated for three days with a laundry service 😄 Say some key points: 1️⃣ The private road from the manor to Qiqin Ica disappeared after the epidemic. Now the nearest one is Exit 7 of the scenic spot, less than ten minutes by taxi. 2️⃣ Don't accept take-out food; every meal is ordered, tried a variety of local food, the taste is personally good; the breakfast amount feels slightly less for men 3️⃣ The room facilities are old and the air conditioning sound is a bit noisy; the other is that there is no shower gel, which is a bit strange. 4️⃣ Maya massage experience is really unique; bird watching is best to choose early rise time, $87 an hour is slightly more expensive"

"Don Luis is wonderful and so welcoming—the breakfast was good, the place is as described, and he was very helpful with directions etc. We did get some mosquito bites, which is to be expected when in the jungle, but they weren’t too bad and there are mosquito nets over the beds. Would return!"

Villas Arqueologicas Chichen Itza ★★★
"The room is very stylish and feels like it has been there for quite some time. The frogs in the sewers croaked loudly in the middle of the night, their voices were so huge that it was a bit scary. The Wifi signal in the room is weak and you need to stand at the door to strengthen it; the shower head has a small amount of water; breakfast needs to be bought separately and the portion is small; there is only one bottle of water and you need to buy an extra bottle. The bedroom has two beds, one large and one small. The mattresses are of suitable firmness and can accommodate three people. However, the air conditioner blows directly on the large bed, making a bit of noise."

Hotel Doralba Inn Chichen ★★★
"A Solid Base for Exploring Chichen Itza From Cancun Airport to Hotel/Chichen Itza: -Cancun Airport to Cancun Downtown by ADO bus, cost 180 Mexican Pesos, time 35mins. (1st bus starts at 7.50AM). Tickets can be bought at the time of departure. -Cancun Downtown to Hotel/Chichen Itza by bus, cost 280 Mexican Pesos per person, time 4hrs. -Chichen Itza ticket cost 671 Mexican Pesos (can be bought at the time of visit). We recently stayed at Hotel Doralba and found it to be a very good choice for visiting the famous ruins. The property is very large and spacious, which is great for families. The highlight for us was the swimming pool area, which has a dedicated section for children and a separate, larger pool for adults. Our room was cleaned daily and was always tidy and comfortable. For the price, we felt it offered excellent value. A few important things to note for future guests: · Location & Transportation: The hotel is within walking distance to the ruins(2km walk). For Taxi, It is about a 5km drive away. We used a taxi which was readily available and cost 100 Mexican pesos for a one-way trip. · Dining Options: Be aware that there are no restaurants or shopping centers near the hotel. At hotel you have very few option that also non veg. As vegetarians, we were a little worried, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They even arranged to have extra vegetable dishes brought in from outside—a incredibly kind and thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. Suggestion: Do not forgot to bring your own extra food too."
