The hotel has been recently renovated and it shows—everything feels fresh, clean, and well maintained. The property is spotless and attractively designed, creating an inviting and relaxing environment. Rooms are clean, functional, and thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the service was the most disappointing aspect. It was inconsistent, disorganized, and varied greatly depending on which staff member you dealt with. There was little sense of care or attentiveness, and this undermined what could have been an enjoyable stay. The food was tasty enough—pleasant, but nothing particularly memorable. The selection was quite limited, which may not be a problem for guests staying only a night or two, but for longer stays it becomes repetitive. The outdoor dining area is quite nice, but unfortunately, the mosquito situation made it nearly unusable. We ended up ordering room service more often than not just to avoid being eaten alive. I get the environmental concerns, however proper mosquito control treatment is clearly needed. Overall, this hotel feels more like a transit stop than a true resort. Guests come and go every couple of days, and the atmosphere reflects that—guests are moved through like clockwork, with minimal personal attention. Regardless of room category, no special treatment or preference is given. We stayed for a week in the highest room categories and still found the service impersonal and, at times, even unpleasant. A small mishap during our stay was handled poorly and without accountability. Although the hotel presents itself as a luxury property, the service does not reflect that standard. If you're expecting a Four Seasons–level experience, you'll likely be disappointed. They are currently constructing a large luxury villa, which looks promising—but unless it comes with its own dedicated staff, the current service team does not have the professionalism or attentiveness required for true luxury hospitality. That said, not all staff were apathic—there were a few standout individuals who genuinely cared. But overall, the vibe was clear: move guests in, feed them, and move them out. It’s a missed opportunity for what could otherwise be a standout resort.
