Wij verbleven hier twee nachten, de lodges zijn erg comfortabel, basic wel netjes. Het zwembadwater was niet schoon en is daarom ook geen aanrader. Het restaurant valt erg tegen, je zou toch denken dat ze hier iets meer van kunnen maken. Het gaat met een snelheid en sommige gerechten vielen erg tegen. Het vervelende is dat er maar één is in de omgeving.

We stayed at the Jungle Lodge for two nights in the Master Suite. I highly recommend this splurge. We visited the ruins from here each day and did the sunset tour our second night with our guide Caesar Moran who we met in our lobby through our hotel. The food at the lodge was reasonable and excellent. The pool was closed while we were there but the master suite has a private hot tub which was wonderful.

Deze lodge ligt op steenworp afstand van Tikal National Park. Ons geschakelde huisje lag midden in de jungle, met eekhoorntjes, kolibries, apen, andere vogels, mieren en muggen. De brulapen kon je ‘s nachts goed horen. Het huisje was schoon, er stonden twee heerlijke bedden en een muskietennet. Geen WiFi in het huisje, wel bij het restaurant en het zwembad. Niet altijd warm water en elektriciteit. Je kreeg twee flessen water iedere ochtend. Het ontbijt omvatte drie keuzes en was ook lekker. Ook het avondeten was erg lekker. Het zwembad was verkoelend maar niet zo heel erg schoon.

Very nice accommodations nestled in the tropical forests and surrounded with the sounds of the Jungle. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and the choices of various cuisines were nice. It has a relaxing pool and lounge with Bar. Access to the Temples of Tikal was an easy walk from the facilities.

This is the sister hotel to Isle de Flores in Flores and used the chargeable service today transit between the two hotels which was very convenient. The hotel enjoys a great location within the Tikal ticket checking area as the nearest accommodation to the main Tikal ruins. There is a central reception area with restaurant and bar with bungalows spread out in the grounds which retains a jungle setting. Rooms are well appointed and fairly spacious. Our only minor issue was the water for showering which seemed to fluctuate between boiling hot and very cold. In the morning there was no hot water at all however it was only an overnight stay and given the remote location some leeway needs to be given. We had dinner, breakfast and a late lunch here. No complaints, all the food was edible and quite substantial. We thought this was an excellent base for viewing Tikal and given its remote location, the services provided are very good.
