"A truly inspired choice of location and design! I really picked the perfect time to visit. The falling cherry blossoms scattered along the stone path were incredibly romantic. The 'wooden hydrangeas' (Japanese snowbells/viburnum plicatum) were also in full bloom. Everything was coming back to life, lifting my spirits. The courtyard of the art gallery displayed simple and natural artifacts. The restaurant's food and coffee were exquisite and delicious too. It was a wonderfully relaxing trip. I'll definitely come again!"

"The hotel is very close to Zhexi Old Street and has a good environment. There is a small waterfall and a pond in the yard, and the koi are very beautiful. The room is also big enough, and the floor-to-ceiling windows face the courtyard, where you can see the koi swimming around. The front desk lady is super nice. We didn't have zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival on the day we came, and she took us to the kitchen to heat up zongzi for us. On the day we left, I said I wanted to buy an umbrella, and the front desk lady with glasses gave me an umbrella, which was very touching."

"A clean, comfortable, and brand-new pet hotel! The owner was very welcoming, the breakfast was excellent, and the local snacks were delicious. It's about a ten-minute walk to Guoqing Temple, surrounded by fields and countryside – very relaxing, and we even unexpectedly saw a rapeseed flower field! Pet-friendly, with a small lawn at the entrance and convenient parking. There are many guesthouses in the village, but this one stands out as a high-quality establishment! 👍 Guoqing Temple is a must-visit, definitely worth it! It's ancient, ethereal, and imbued with a profound sense of history! If you're going, staying here is unbeatable; you can capture the serene beauty of the morning and the peaceful tranquility of the evening!"

The Lucid Resort Tiantai
"Booked a family cottage. The room is compact and the lighting is a little dim. I asked the hotel for a desk lamp for my child to do homework. The room is a little damp on rainy days. There is no scenery outside the window of our room on the first floor, just a row of bamboo fences. The hotel has been open for some years, so the facilities are also old. The toilet has a strong smell after the exhaust is turned on, but the smell is lighter when it is not turned on. The smell of this toilet is very discounted. I didn't sleep well at night, maybe I am more attached to the bed. The advantage is that the hotel is right next to the entrance of Guoqing Temple, which is very convenient. There are plenty of parking spaces. There is a 1.5-hour explanation of Guoqing Temple at 8:30 in the morning (with Bluetooth, the lady's explanation is also very good). Let's talk about it separately. Remember to go to the legal circulation office of Guoqing Temple. Get a bracelet, incense bag, and lucky cat pendant. They are all beautiful and the price is very affordable. The hotel has Yijinjing training and meditation in the evening, and copying scriptures in the afternoon, which are all good. There is also Xide Coffee next door, which is very convenient and close to Sanmu and Food. On rainy days, there are umbrellas in the hotel room. The breakfast is average, there are only two breakfasts, and children over 120 have to pay 48 yuan. Dinner is more than 100 yuan per person, and it is okay according to the first few dishes on Dianping. I gave the children two postcards when I left, and the children were very happy."
Taizhou Tiantai Accor Grand Mercure Hotel
"The hotel is located in a newly developed area, about a 10-minute drive from the train station. There are shopping malls nearby, so dining options are plentiful. There's a large park opposite the hotel, perfect for a stroll. The hotel's facilities are quite good, but the service could use some improvement. The front desk service was excellent; unfortunately, I was too tired to notice the staff badges during check-in, so I apologize. The staff proactively informed me about the free shuttle bus to Guoqing Temple during holidays, saving me the trouble of traffic jams and parking difficulties if I drove. The hotel's executive lounge offers stunning sunset views; I highly recommend it. I did experience a disapproving look from a staff member once, simply because my family and I quietly commented that the portion sizes of the semi-buffet dinner were significantly different from the advertised portions in the hallway. ☺️ Oh well, my eyesight isn't great, so I'll just pretend I didn't see it."

"Initially, when I booked, I thought it was a B&B. The hotel staff proactively reached out via WeChat to share an introduction to the property, and upon arrival, I found it to be much grander than I had imagined. The lobby was expansive, the connecting corridors wide, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The rooms on the fourth floor even boasted an impressive five-meter ceiling height. The hotel features a hot spring, a swimming pool, and a children's play area, all of which were impeccably maintained. As my high-speed train was departing at 4 PM, the hotel graciously offered a complimentary late check-out. Its location is fantastic, very close to Guoqing Temple and not far from both Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area and Tiantai Mountain Waterfall, making access very convenient. All the staff were exceptionally polite, making for a truly wonderful experience. I will definitely be returning!"

"I’m an international traveler from California, USA, and this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I normally book only five star hotels for my family (my husband, four year old, and myself) and this hotel in Tiantai truly blew us away. The design and decor is gorgeous - it transports you to a zen garden complete with sophisticated greenery and koi pond. The koi pond is beautiful and the fish are so healthy. The hotel staff was also extremely kind and accommodating, Miss Zhang walked us to a restaurant the first day we arrived and DingDing was really sweet to our four year old son. The service was the best and I didn’t feel like I had issues communicating, even with my limited Chinese, and with my family not speaking any Chinese. My husband had work calls with California at a ridiculous hour (4 am to 8 am!) and they let him use the tea room for his video calls. The value for this place is also amazing - this was the least expensive hotel I have stayed in, and also the best! I really feel like this hotel was the passion project of someone who had a grand vision and great taste. The Le Labo toiletries were such an unexpected treat. I have family in Tiantai so I will definitely be back and I can’t wait to stay here again!"

They also offered a late check-out because of the hot weather. 👍 The guesthouse is located in Tahou Village, a traditional courtyard house. The entire village consists of guesthouses, and the environment is quite nice. On the day of our check-in, CCTV was filming their Qixi Festival gala at the guesthouse, and I heard there were even celebrities there yesterday. The guesthouse and the Tiantai Hot Spring Resort Hotel are owned by the same person, and their overall decor is very similar. The hotel rooms are spacious, and the bathroom facilities are all high-end brands, although there was a slight smell of renovation when we entered the room. The guesthouse breakfast was also good. Although the selection wasn't extensive, the freshly made and cooked wontons were truly delicious."
