The location is perfectly fine and convenient for us.
We can see the aircraft landing and departure clearly from our room. The toilet seat is too tall and not comfortable to use. Also I found spider webs located on the ceiling when I laid down on bed which made me feel uncomfortable.

Between the rude staff at the front, bad restaurant service and unclean rooms and hallways this place would just be a skip all together.

We splurged and booked the King Suite w jacuzzi tub. I read the reviews and was nervous because they weren’t very favorable. I contacted the hotel and told them what my expectations were based on the price and what experience I was looking for. The GM contacted me back and said he would personally make sure the room was ready for us. He and his staff did not disappoint. The reviews online must be old and definitely do not reflect anything we saw in our stay at this beautiful hotel. The room furnishings were beautiful and modern. The jacuzzi tub and the entire room was spotless. The tub worked flawlessly. There are two modern in wall temperature controls. The room smelled great! We ate at the hotel restaurant, Skal when we arrived. The menu is varied with Nordic dishes as well as Canadian favorites. We thoroughly enjoyed our attentive server, Joe. The food was delicious and we plan to try it more times during our stay. We have only the highest marks for the Valhalla Hotel and its staff. Thank you very much.
