Difficult to rate as the hotel provides a room at a decent price very well. It’s a lovely building with clean nice rooms and professional staff BUT it could be so much more. No restaurant or bar is a waste as there’s better value is no high class dining in Thunder Bay and this place could be perfect. Basically just needs young ambitious owners !

We stayed here for five nights on the second floor. What drew us in was the fact that this building used to be an actual courthouse! Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we had an amazing view of the Sleeping Giant out our windows. As others have said, the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear floor boards creak at times, but we didn’t find it that bothersome. The free breakfast was decent and they switched things up daily. I’m not a fan of hotel eggs, but everything else was good and the selection was decent. Hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful. I asked for more clean towels and received them in less than ten minutes. They were nice and warm straight out of the dryer. If we are staying in Thunder Bay again, we will be back here!

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic building- as others have noted, the rooms are big with high ceilings. We had a room on the first floor overlooking the city- it was very clean and had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient (cereal, toast, bagels, sausages and eggs). We particularly appreciated the fact that you could walk downtown easily to visit and eat at the Red River Road restaurants- Tomlin’s is highly recommended.

I stayed here on February 19th, it was a great stay, they accommodated me after I was in a car accident and were very kind and understanding. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, the pillows were really prefect for my neck, which is weird because it's not something I usually notice in any hotel. The staff were also really wonderful, easy to talk to, there was a young man I spoke with while signing in and then a woman who also helped me, I wish that I would have remembered their names because they were great. It is pretty cool that the building is an old courthouse, I always love when they convert old historical buildings into places to stay. I will definitely be staying here again, and would 100% recommend this hotel to others.
