Arrivati dal parco sequoia molto stanchi entriamo in questo motel che già dall’esterno faceva spavento. Check in con personale sgarbato che non rispetta la prenotazione e ci da le chiavi di una camera al primo piano senza ascensore. Ambiente squallido, sporco, sule scale di accesso al primo piano sporcizia ovunque. Apriamo la camera e ci investe un odore tremendo. Laddove ci prospettino di fermarvi in questo posto dimenticato da dio, pretendere di avere una location diversa più distante ma più confortevole. Appena rientrerò scriverò una pec al tour operator

It’s what you’d expect for a holiday inn. It’s a sports tournament area hotel. It was booked with families so it gets kinda crazy. Room was big and clean. Room stayed nice and cool. Shower was good. Soaps in shower and bathroom good. Breakfast was good. Coffee machines best part. The surrounding area isn’t anything special but not unsafe. It’s not a 5 star but you don’t expect that with holiday inn express. It gets the job done for a weekend stay for a tournament.

It was alright. I get that it’s a small city and the occupancy is low on any given night and is probably why they don’t spend a lot of money on the rooms. I thought the plumbing/fixtures in the bathroom were outdated. Drainage issue with sink and shower fixture was old.
Overall, I give it 2 out of 5 stars

Unexpected charge overshadowed the stay
The hotel itself was very nice and well maintained. My kids and I enjoyed our stay. The breakfast amenities were excellent!
The reason I haven't given a higher rating is the unexpected charge of $75 at check-in. I was told that it would be refunded and have yet to see that reflected in my bank. If the refund does come through I will update my review accordingly.

They did not call me. I'm the one that reserved the room for my employee. They did not call me, they just charged. And then they added another night on there without calling me a verifying that it was okay to use my card

I booked here as its close to my work. It was my first time there. Upon entering, the lobby area (late on a Saturday evening) was quite dirty from construction being performed. Checking in was effortlessly done! Desk clerk was very cordial. I began noticing the condition of this hotel upon entering the hallway/elevator. Its far from being new, shiny as i might expect a HI Express to be. Ive stayed many times in this brand before. The room was very poor condition. Such so, i immediately checked for bed bugs and cleanliness, specifically sheets and the bathroom. I found no evidence of bugs. But, areas of the floor between the beds and under the headboard were not vacuumed in some time (debris was clearly seen.) The bathroom was pretty much clean, though below and around the toilet had smudges of some substance, not clean. Inspecting the sheets, one bed had a fitted sheet with major wear visible. I choose not to sleep in that bed. The desk, closet, headboards, etc, were quite old and worn on edges and corners. Very dated looking furniture. I tossed around the idea of leaving and demanding a refund, but because it was late; i was tired after driving a long time in ice and snow... i choose to stay. I hope its evident ive been employed in hotel/resort maintenance for many years in the past. This hotel needs some serious work.
