House of Ullr

We 2 friends booked a “2 bedroom suite” - but it was not a suite as it did not have any living area or a single chair. The adjoining bedrooms were not private and had no doors. There was no common lounge area for guests to sit and relax. The décor was basic for the price; acknowledging a short ski season makes it hard, and high prices across the board in Thredbo. On the plus side the rooms were warm, clean and the bathroom good. Sorry to be negative!

House of Ullr is right in the village of Thredbo. 10 min walk to lifts - or can jump on a shuttle that runs every 5 mins just up the road. We stayed in a 3 room suite. No living area but had a bedroom in the middle we used as a living space for when we got home. Ate out every night - including their restaurant which was fab. Old, dated, but just what we needed with young kids. Beautiful view of the mountains from our window.

We had a great stay. The hotel is very central to the village restaurants and ski lifts and we had a magic view of the slopes. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Mad Mexican downstairs was a great place to unwind after a long day out on the slopes. Thanks to Aaron and crew for an amazing family holiday. We will definitely be back next year!

Very basic room at back of hotel. No view at all. $1000 a night. Looked lovely in the photo but is super dinge in real life! Tiny fridge, 4 cups, slowest kettle. 2 rooms with bathroom between. We could cope with the share house styling, but the shower is really really dangerous. It scalds and then goes freezing. The temperature is dangerous for kids. Don't leave them unattended. The shower lever even came off in my hand when the water went suddenly lava temp. There's nowhere to unload, just a small area out front. There's no common area or fire or anywhere nice to sit. Theres only enough room for beds in the rooms. The carpet is old and the tile steps are filthy in the entrance. A $250 bond has to be paid in case of breakages... Hilarious!!! We all felt dirtier and a bit broken by choosing this 'house' of grimness.

Friendly staff, comfy bed and clean bathroom, but there was not even a chair to sit on in the room. In short could use a few small touches to improve the experience
