Spend the rest of the day relaxing in the hammock in the shade of coconut palms or swimming with turtles, snorkeling or scuba diving in one of the best diving spots in Hawaii, the Puako reef, just in front of the hale. (You can read about it in guidebooks) An entrance spot into the ocean is just a few yards down the beach south of Hale Malia. Children will enjoy hours of beach combing and exploring the tidepools. If you are tired of packing/ lugging your family to GO to the beach this is a good place for you - you ARE ON THE BEACH.
