We visited this property after being there 20 years ago. Still a fab property. Staff exceptional. Place requires a lot of repairs and I am sure they are on to it. The only thing we were very upset was - about our drivers accommodation and food. A GRT run property DOES NOT provide food or not even a cup of tea. The accommodation provided had serious issues with mosquitos so our driver slept in the car. The location of the property was away from shops and other accommodation so to have a cup of coffee our driver had to drive a fair distance. I escalated this to the management mid way of our stay - of course the answer was we will do it sir - but absolutely nothing happened. We plan to be back again as we like the place. But if this is not improved we will reluctantly look for alternatives.

Had a wonderful stay at Grt. Location, river view, food, hospitality. 20 mins away from the city, by the vennar river, this property boasts a heritage look.

Nice resort with friendly budget except food buffet which is unnecessarily too expensive. Stay is nice with breakfast. Use a' la carte for the dinner and lunch

A very beautiful hotel by the river. Staff are wonderful. Especially Veera who got me a special medicine tea for my cold. Bless the chief. And Anand who whizzed around our room cleaning and organising. All the staff as usual in India.

Our stay at Great Trail River View Resort, Thanjavur was truly delightful. The serene riverside location offers a peaceful atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff, including the front desk and restaurant team, were courteous and attentive. Special appreciation to Ms. Sathaya, Mr. Iyappan, Mr. Athavan, and Mr. Rajesh (Manager) for their outstanding hospitality.

Our stay at the GRT great trails riverview resort was nothing short of amazing. The staff was super welcoming and helpfull. Sugumar at reception gave us good tips on what to do and helped us with any questions. Because our train had to be resheduled to later in the evening he made the wait for us a lot more comfortable. Our driver Selvam showed us around and knew where to get all the good local food and artisanal products. Overal I definitly recommend a stay at this amazing location.
