Fairfield Inn & Suites Texarkana

Completely an disappointment, no wifi, missing shower gel and a broken TV in the room... I have had better breakfast in motels than that place...100% not recommend it...

Margie does a fantastic job with the breakfast buffet. She is very energetic and friendly. We recommend you try the rosemary potatoes!

When we arrived late at night the front desk was ready to check us in quickly with a smile. The room was very clean. Breakfast was what we have come to expect from Fairfield - A plus. And Margie was a great example of having a servant attitude. Friendly and checking on all the guest. Offering to prepare what I may want if I didn’t see it on display. You can tell she is there to serve the customer. Marriott would be wise to use Margie for any new trainee’s. You don’t get this attitude at breakfast from Hilton. Sorry, but true & it is why I switched and seek out a Marriott hotel and specifically Fairfield when traveling. Bottom line is both chains rooms are clean & front desk are friendly, but when it comes to breakfast Hilton has lost their way. And Margie asked if I would like to have my coffee freshened up. Wow, that has never happened at a hotel before. She works as if her pay is based in tips & not an hourly wage. Gerry S.

This hotel really is a dump. It has a low rating for a reason, and you should not expect anything more than this. I am surprised Mariott lets it use its name. The only reason I stayed here was because I needed the government rate and all the other hotels in town were booked. From the moment you arrive, you will drive over a speed bump at the entrance that will just about bottom your car out. Rooms are dingy and worn out. You can barely see yourself in the bathroom mirror due to poor lighting. There are no USB jacks in the room except for two on a cheap alarm clock. AC units are shaky at best, and you are lucky if you can get your room to cool below 72. Toilet paper provided might as well be sandpaper. Morning breakfast is bad, and the food looks like it is on a low budget. The bacon looks like it was flattened by a steam roller, juice machine was broken, yogurt is in the smallest containers I've ever seen. Fitness Center was closed. Don't expect to have a good experience, this hotel is rated a 2 star for a reason on some sites.
