This place didn’t honor the price I booked on trip.com. Made me pay more. Also, this place doesn’t have hot water which is not mentioned in the ad.

Terrible customer service, with absolutely no respect or consideration. The staff is very vulgar and rude, and they're extremely disorganized with reservations. I don't recommend booking here, and if you do, make sure you have two other options so you can easily escape.
Terrible atención al cliente, no hay respeto ni consideración en lo absoluto. El personal es gente muy vulgar y descortés, y son extremadamente desorganizados con las reservaciones. No recomiendo reservar en este lugar y si lo haces, asegúrate de llevar otras 2 opciones más para que puedas huir fácilmente.

I found Palmira Hostel to be a great place to stay for my several nights in Tegucigalpa, and very good vale for the modest cost. Its advantages include a central location in a decent, safe neighborhood (Colonia Palmira), with several restaurants nearby (including a take-out coffee and pastry outlet right across the street); helpful staff members; a generally clean and well-maintained ambience; and lots of open patio space. I can recommend it strongly. A couple of other points: I stayed at the "main" hostel on 4th Street (an extension of Republic of Peru Avenue); I believe that the hostel has one or two other buildings, which I am not acquainted with. Also, as it may be of some concern to anyone who has been reading the reviews, I should point out that contrary to what was stated in one of them, which I admit was from four years ago, I did in fact have hot water in my shower.

The staff was supper friendly and the convenience of the walking distance to places was great. The only downsid is the room I stayed in didn’t have a fan or any AC, the staff didn’t hesitate to see what way they could help me.
