"Beautiful hotel with so much character. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the rooms were immaculate with daily housekeeping. It’s also incredibly dog-friendly, which made our stay even more special. The location is absolutely stunning — perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. From delicious signature cocktails to thoughtful treats for our dogs, nothing was too much trouble. A lovely touch was the complimentary drinks for the birthday boy, which made the experience even more memorable. This is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and a truly relaxing break. Five stars all the way!"

"Service from staff was amazing spot on from bar staff really friendly and welcoming could not fault. Food was good apart from being a little too salty,but enjoyable all the same. If it wasn't for the restaurant and the bar area being absolutely freezing we would have enjoyed a little more! There was a log fire in the bar/restaurant area but was not in use in the full day and night we spent there. Most folk eating and drinking including us sat with jackets or extra layers on. ROOM! Well... tiny! freezing! Smallest double bed we have ever slept in! Uncomfortable! And very basic! Now we understand this is not a "hotel" and is an inn" which is stated in the welcoming guest handbook and on their website, which is fine, but we where charged hotel prices and at £154.00 excluding food and drinks for 1 night stay we would have at least have expected a cosy warm eating and sleeping area as this place is advertised as cosy and warm which was certainly not the case it was a cold nights stay. The stairwell from bar/restaurant was again absolutely baltic and the accessible lift was out of order. Overall experience was this is a drop by for a drink and some snacks, if u are looking for an overnight stay to rest your "weary head" then my advice would be to travel further north/south whichever way you are travelling and find better accommodation."
