Authentic Tavira Hotel

"We enjoyed our recent stay and really liked most things about the hotel. Good things - comfy bed, quality sheets and towels, hot strong shower, very good air con, great location within easy walk of the centre, Pingo supermarket, bars and restaurants & local railway station; friendly staff, generous tasty breakfast, blackout curtains, cleanliness, rooftop terrace, fairly good wifi, fridge and safe in room, quirky decor in foyer, fast response to emails. Niggles - v noisy neighbours above on 3 nights (outside hotel's control), noise from traffic right outside during the day (hotel being on a small but busy crossroads), only 4 coat hangers in the wardrobe to share between two people. We would return and thought it was good value."

"A beautiful, unique, five-room lodging in rural Tavira. We stayed in the "Almond" room - much more than a room, though, with a living area, in-door and out-door showers - and, wow, what a great private courtyard. The included breakfast was deliscious. The staff was amazingy friendly and accomadating. We oredered food from the pool menu a few times - made to order! Thanks, Hospedaria, for making our Spain and Portugal trip memorable. "

"Loved this place! We were a bit dubious after reading some reviews, but nothing to worry about at all! We were a group of 10, 4 adults and 6 kids ages 3, 12, 11 and 16. The food could do with a lot more variety- ther eis always a good stocked salad station, chips and rice, a fish dish or 2, a couple of vegetarian dishes, one or 2 meat dishes, a pasta dish and a soup. Ice cream is plentiful! So noone starved ate other meal. The snack bar around the pool isn't part of the all inclusive- the snack bar is run in the main restaurant between 4pm-5pm only. I do t know if this changes during high season. The evening entertainment was enough for us...something different each night and lasted from 930 til about 1130...that was good timings for us with the kids. The all inclusive drinks menu is good! Cocktails are nice too! We stayed four nights and had the cleaner in once, which didnt bother us. Apartment had a fully equipped kitchen- cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave. Bathroom had a hairdryer. Apartments are a little dated, but served their purpose nicely! There is no little shop on the complex, I feel that wouldve been handy. But there is a little corner shop about 5 or so minutes walk. The reception staff are lovely, and so helpful! A couple of the bar staff are slightly less friendly- often tutting when ordering our drinks!? Mostly the female ones! The animation team are also really lovely. Our 12 yr olds wanted to pop into the caged off bit to play footy, but this isn't allowed unless the parents sign something and pay for a lanyard, which I found a bit annoying as 12 yr olds didnt want to do kids club, just wanted a kick about! Pools are lovely! The free boat accross to the gorgeous beach is cool! All in all, we paid a great price through on the beach for a 5 day trip and couldn't ci.plain at all! I will defo return in the summer months at some point!"
