Aroha Taveuni Beachfront Bures

The most tropical paradise! We spent 6 nights at Aroha and loved every minute. Kathryn and Rod were the most hospitable hosts, organizing activities, transfers and information about the island. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and spacious. I loved the outdoor shower that was secluded and private. The restaurant was very good with a delicious varied menu especially for dinner. The wood fired pizza was such a hit with our teenage son. But for me, the view out from the restaurant of the beach, the sea and another island in the distance was just a tropical paradise . With the sunset and cocktails every evening, it was an amazing stay that far exceeded our expectations. A massive shout out to the super friendly staff and if course, their beautiful pup Coco that won our hearts!

I felt like I was in a little bit of Paradise at Aroha. Not only beachfront for those glorious sunsets, but the Bures we stayed in were beautifully done. Everything covered when these were built. The staff were super friendly and helpful, Fijian culture at its best. The restaurant was lovely. Location was just perfect and lots of tours if you want to do them or just relax in the pool or on the sunloungers. Kathryn and Rod have recently taken this business over. They are perfect, both are genuinely interactive with their guests. You get that personal feel. I would come back and stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great bures set in lovely, well-kept gardens. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and the staff amazing - we even learned some Taveuni Fijian (different dialect)! Just a step to the sea from the garden - some great snorkelling but you need to head out a bit through the dead coral to get to the good areas. The owners are lovely and so helpful. We went up the mountain for a morning of birdwatching with a guide, Ajay Narayan, organised by the Aroha owners. Ajay was brilliant, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic - highly recommended. We also saw some lovely birds in the garden and interesting butterflies and moths.

Wonderful place to stay, excellent Staff and Food, and the Bures are fantastic. A hidden gem of Resort, if you stay here you do everything right! For the new owner we wish all the best, but with this Resort, Restaurant and Staff and Place you can't get wrong! Thanks a lot for having us!!! Ann & Stivi

This was our second time visiting the Aroha. The new owners, Rod and Kathryn, are so gracious and are amazing hosts! They are so respectful and helpful to their fantastic staff. I cant begin to say how lovely and wonderful the staff members are. They treat us like esteemed family members and go out of their way to make sure every aspect of the stay is perfect. The rooms are just beautiful with the ocean just steps away for swimming and snorkeling. The infinity pool makes for a heavenly and relaxing afternoon of laziness. The grounds of the resort are simply immaculate and beautifully landscaped. There are fresh flower arrangements from their gardens every day. They can arrange many fun excursions to the local sites. Highlights are the lovely and unique Civa pearl farm ( I got a pearl to remember on each of our trips), the Lavena coast and waterfall walk, diving and snorkel trips, birdwatching trips and much more. The restaurant, KaiTime, is far and away the best on the island! (We learned that the hard way the first trip when we ate some other places and we were sorry) We ate there exclusively for over a week with no repeats. The daily specials are so creative, diverse and everything is always beautifully presented. The only bad thing about Aroha is having to say goodbye……. It is always so sad to leave this heavenly spot!
