The Neighborhood: On 60 acres in Key Largo, this beachfront resort is 10 miles from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and 1.7 miles from the Wild Bird Center. The Florida Keys is home to some of the best fishing, snorkeling and diving in the world. Key Largo's proximity to the Everglades also makes it a premier destination for kayakers and ecotourists. The drive to Key West is approximately 2 hours south and is remarkable! The Florida Keys offer a fantastic variety of restaurants, but with the bounty of fresh seafood available it's not surprising that the cuisine of the Keys is largely built around the catch of the day. Getting Around: A car is needed in the Florida Keys. Ocean Pointe is roughly 70 miles south of Miami International Airport and approximately a 2 hour drive to the Southern Most Point in Key West. Other Things to Note: No pets or smoking allowed. Marina Info: All marina and trailer reservations must be made in advance through the on-site dockmaster—no same-day reservations. Boats up to 28 ft accepted. Slips are first come, first served. Proof of insurance ($300K liability, $100K property damage) is required.
