We used this hotel as part of a business trip and is located in the northeast of Leipzig, as already stated in the name. This location is not particularly central, but we were aware of this before booking. The hotel offers a basic standard and although it does not offer luxury, it has the necessary amenities.
The cleanliness of the room was acceptable but not outstanding. Some defects were noted, such as a broken soap dispenser on the bathroom sink, a broken toilet brush holder lying next to the toilet, and minimal mold growth between the glass and the shower wall frame. The room amenities include a television, a hairdryer, an open wardrobe and storage compartments.
We had booked breakfast and discovered that at 9:00 a.m. the breakfast room was already almost completely occupied by trade fair employees. At the reception, which was open to the restaurant area, there was a queue of around 8 people who wanted to check out. When we tried to look for coffee at the buffet, we couldn't find it. The buffet was already pretty heavily looted, but there was still enough choice for us. However, we note that apart from soup spoons, no other cutlery was available. When we were looking for an employee to remedy the situation, a trade fair guest told us that the lady was alone and now had to serve the reception. They even had to eat their breakfast without drinks. When I mentioned that there was also no knife for spreading bread, I learned from this guest that she had to share the last knife with everyone else. The employee couldn't help it because she couldn't handle everything at the same time, but the staff scheduling obviously failed here. This is unacceptable. Due to the cheap room price, we decided not to refund the breakfast fee.

One night stay
Reception very helpful as there were no drinks making facilities in the room. The room itself had poor insulation and the wind was howling all night. Traffic noise was also poor from 6.00/6.30am.

Convenient for the tram stop (about 25 minutes ride from the City Centre) and a popular McDonalds. Arriving after dark, it was not immediately obvious where the door was. Luckily, there was someone having a chat in the car park who pointed me in the right direction. Nearly ten minutes later she deigned to come in and check me in, along with three women who had arrived before me. The whole place is a bit tired and soulless, but the room was a fraction bigger than usual, and I was on the quiet side. Breakfast was okay, although Ibis seems to be affected by an orange juice shortage. I would stay again, but only if the City Centre property is not available (as was the case this time).

Not worthy
The room was super hot, no air conditioning; also no air conditioning in the breakfast area, so juices and yogurts were hot as well and it wasn’t pleasant to have breakfast there.
The shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty and we didn’t get the room done during our stay there.
All in all, super expensive for the hotel general conditions and service provided.

The hotel is a bit older. But looks like we got a renovated room. The people are very friendly. Price is reasonable. All what we needed was easy accessable. Das in der Nähe gelegene Gartenrestaurant war super. Die kurze Distanz zur Autobahn war perfekt.

Outdated but cozy hotel
Close to a motorway, situated on a busy road section (once window in your room is closed, you won't hear any traffic), McDonalds and Aral station across a hotel, tram no. 3 to a city centre of Leipzig 3 mins walk away (a journey by tram takes 24 mins).
Hotel is outdated, rooms small but cozy. Our shower had for some reason a shower gel attached to a wall 2 m above a ground which made it unreachable. A bathroom was also full of dust.
We didn't have breakfast, cannot share opinion on it.
Check in and out was okay. The staff looked tired (came across two receptionists).

This was not in the Ibis Budget range but it should be - there’s no air conditioning and so the windows need to be opened for ventilation - this means opening to the noisy highway outside. The choice is to be too hot or disturbed by noise. The breakfast is basic and the staff do not respect the booking requirements for a twin room - we had a double rather than twin. The Accor system does not transfer basic membership details either, so checking in is not as seamless as at other Ibis and Accor properties. The only upsides are that it was cheap and they accepted pets. Overall, I would not book again.

Popcorn under the bed, somebody's bill under a bunch of crumbs. Bed didn't have the usual Ibis topper. No air conditioning. Loyalty registration missing on check in. No restaurant or snack food. Lift floor was covered in something sticky. Often stay at Ibis but this one way below standard. Glad we were only passing through and not staying long.
