The room is very good and the location is also very good, next to citymall. I booked a king-size bed room and the front desk gave me a standard room. When I went to change it, they said the computer was messed up. The shower room was not replenished with bath gel in time.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is opposite the train station and it is very convenient to walk to the high-speed rail station. The high-speed train departs at 8:30, so I can wake up at 8 and have breakfast in time. Arrived at 9 pm, the hotel also served dinner, which was large and delicious at an affordable price. There are also local restaurants near the hotel, as well as several Chinese restaurants that have been open for many years, supermarkets, department stores, train stations, subway stations, banks, TV stations, good local restaurants, and a train museum. Life and travel are very convenient. We usually hold meetings and discussions in the hotel’s coffee shop without paying extra. It’s also very convenient to make appointments with people to talk about things. There are basically no Chinese who don’t know this hotel. The hotel has a basketball court and a plastic track. When the weather is nice, you can go for a walk. If you want to use a car or use a translator, contact the hotel one day in advance. Sister Jia will make proper arrangements. The service is considerate and full of praise.

It's okay, everything is there. I broke a porcelain cup and they didn't ask me to pay for it. 306 US dollars, which was a small change for me. I just don’t know why there was no breakfast buffet on the last day. I was asked to write down what I wanted to eat and they sent it to my room. As a result, my door was broken and I stood outside the door hungry for half an hour waiting for them to repair the door. After entering, I waited another half an hour for breakfast. Maybe Chinese people are not suitable for this kind of breakfast, and it is not to my liking. There was a very strong fragrance in the room, and it didn't dissipate even after I opened the window for several days. But the attitude of the service staff is still good!

Very Good
YYamiModern designed hotel in Tashkent with many facilities.
Just 10 minutes walk to the closest subway station.
The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and soft.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was good, very rich with many choices.
GGeoffLet me talk about the hotel booking first. The booking was for 8/19, and it cannot be changed on 8/10. Whether you stay or not, you have to pay the room fee. Normally, there is no problem, but if there is force majeure, such as flight cancellation due to weather, the loss is all the guests, and the hotel has no loss. I provided proof of the airline's weather reasons, but the negotiation was fruitless, and I lost one day's room fee. The funniest thing is that I booked 4 nights, and I have to stay for the remaining 3 nights, and I can't refund it. If I don't stay, I will be deducted directly. Is this an overlord clause? I don't know how Ctrip negotiated the agreement with the hotel and the agent. Are foreign hotels so strong? I hope that domestic customers will not be taken advantage of. Ctrip still needs to improve in this regard. Of course, Ctrip's customer service attitude is still good, actively communicated, and finally gave 100 yuan in compensation.
Let's talk about the hotel itself. The hotel is in the downtown area, relatively close to the square and shopping center, and you can walk there. But the room is a bit small. The deluxe room is 33 square meters, but there is only one room, one bathroom and one cupboard. I estimate it to be about 28 square meters (room and bathroom 5x5 + 3 square cupboard and bathtub). The facilities are relatively simple. The basin is relatively small overall. The bathtub is a bit narrow and not wide enough. People who are a little fat can't move around. The sound insulation is poor. The sound of various cars on the road at night can be heard clearly. The breakfast is very Western style, which Chinese people may not be used to. There are many varieties of cheese, various sweet local cakes and fruits, which I feel I can't eat. Compared with the room rate of nearly 1,000 yuan a day, I feel that the cost performance is indeed not high. I have to question whether I will stay here next time❓
RRamonI arrived at 2300 and there is a monopoly of taxis. Frankly, I just wanted to get to the hotel so I hired the official airport taxi (there is a stand before customs, as well as money change facilities). The driver had a little difficulty locating it, but it is actually a couple hundred of meters from a mayor street.
After traveling in China, I was relief to notice that the people at the hotel speak English (thanks Haselbeck). The room is clean and right behind the reception, at street level. Since the windows open, I asked Haselbeck about the crime situation and he laughed, stating that this doesn't happen in Uzbekistan.
Breakfast was very good, with cold meats, eggs, cereal, cookies, cake, tea, coffee and blynis. While having breakfast I spoke to a person from India who was working is Tashkent about how he transports, since the Metro is about 1600 m away. He laughed it and told me to use Yandex Go and order taxis. Great find! They are really inexpensive .
SSantoshWe family of three stayed twice here, first one night before going to Samarkand and then returning back at Tashkent for three days. The hotel location is excellent as , restaurants, cafes, stores at walk-able distance. Also the peaceful area.
The hotel provided us spacious room with three separate beds , apt for family. As we were checking out early at six am for flight, hotel counter staff provided us lunch boxes, which was good gestures.
We could easily catch yandex taxi as well walk around city.
Overall satisfying stay, value for money.
Need more spread in breakfast.
GGuest UserUpon arrival at the hotel, I was happy to hear the familiar Mandarin in a new destination from the friendly manager/owner. After seeing my booking's printout, the manager mentioned that I had booked a wrong room, to be exact, a single room. I told him that my printout clearly stated a double room for two persons and with breakfast for two. His local worker went through the printout and confidently said I had booked a single room. Finally, it was my turn to explain to them in both Mandarin and English. I told them the amount of payment may look small(over RM170), which is almost equivalent to RMB280. Now, the manager must have woken up from his sleep that my friend and I were not mainland Chinese but Malaysians. Immediately, he said my booking was now correct. Soon after, he asked for another 110,000 Som/about RMB63 for local taxes, which I duly paid. The App, Trip.com, had never mentioned this amount when I did the booking. Perhaps Trip.com had overlooked this matter. This post is not to insinuate something negative about the hotel reception on the day of my check-in but to point out that don't judge a book by its cover, namely a smaller amount of a currency may be very deceptive if the reader jumps into conclusion that a Mandarin speaking guest is always from China.
MMeichunyileiA great old luxury hotel.
Although it was not renovated in the past two years, the standard is still online.
It is like a BMW 5 Series that has been driven for five years, and it is still very good.
Especially the breakfast, which is very rich, with a lot of fruits and hot food.
The hotel is also very clean and hygienic.
The service is also very good, the staff is still very enthusiastic, and the surrounding area is also very safe. There is a park across the road, and there are two high-end restaurants in the park, which are also very good.
It is about 200 meters away from the subway station, which is also very convenient.
Overall, it is still very good and you can stay with peace of mind.
GGuest UserThe location was perfect, and all taxi drivers were familiar with the hotel. The rooms were spacious. The corridors had a strong stench of cigarettes. The breakfast area was crowded and I had to wait a few minutes before cups, glasses, and spoons were available.
I was double-charged (now a refund has been initiated) without being informed (one by the hotel and one by this website), so when I found out I had to spend resources (time/taxi costs) to go back to the hotel to ask how the double-charge could be managed.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the service was good. Accommodation in Tashkent is too expensive. Hotels in the suburbs are so expensive. Of course, the ones in the city are even more expensive. Breakfast was terrible, highly not recommended. Very bad! ! !
GGuest UserBecause the special circumstances, this review is only about the the services. Because I mistakenly booked our flight one day earlier than our hotel booked (at another hotel), we found ourselves without a hotel room in the middle of the night. I tried all booking platforms and failed to find one allowing me to book that night because it had passed the mid night and were only showing the “new date”. Finally I accidentally bumped into Star Hotel and allowed me to still book that night.
The owner of Star Hotel was shocked when we showed up around 1am, because he had closed booking for that night. But still he welcomed us and frankly explained that the rooms were all booked and would let us choose a room reserved for their employees. They saved us from a night in the streets and the owner and his staff were very kind, friendly and helpful! We are forever grateful !
