CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO ACTUALLY HAVE A ROOM THAT YOU RESERVED!! In May 2025 I booked TWO hotel rooms. Today, Oct 23, I received an EMAIL saying that my Saturday reservations would not be honored and we were being moved to the Hampton Inn 2.5 miles away. I immediately called and was told they had to relocate 40 rooms. Seriously?!?!?!?! We booked in May and you moved us two days before our arrival?!??! I was told that our room cost double at the Hampton Inn which I can assure you did NOT as I just went on line to look at rates. If we had not prepaid for several activities I would have cancelled. WHO DOES THIS?!? I would NEVER risk making another reservation at this hotel - completely unacceptable!!!!! This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I travel extensively.

October 2025 Came to Sleepy Hallow for the events. The lobby was grand and thought we made a good decision to spend $500. to stay there. Upon checking in we were informed that the elevator near our 2nd floor room was out of service. No big deal but there were bi-level floors and we were on the top (2 1/2 floor) with additional steps. So be it. I did wonder why they had us on the top floor when there were no events happening in the hotel's several convention rooms? The hallways and out room looked worn and dated with our room smelling a little stale. The thermostat was showing 74 and the was no air circulating. I lowered the thermostat to 69. The bathroom door would close properly due to the top hinge. We then left for our events. We stopped at the front desk to inquiry about breakfast to be informed that this was a "kosher" hotel and we not be having a full breakfast. The staff said the hotel offers a free "continental breakfast" we consisted on a small table with bagels and muffins and another tea and coffee table (no orange juice). Upon returning to the hotel, we went to the bar /restaurant area where the bar tender was doubling as the waiter. The menu was very basic and the chicken fingers and salad was sub-par. Returning to our room we lowered the thermostat to 66 believing the A/C would kick in and circulate the air. I woke up during the night and the room was hot and no air movement. I attempted to open a window but was unable. Later that morning I saw that the window was screwed locked preventing it from opening. Engineering came up to the room and we were informed that the A/C in the fall. Do yourself a favor and skip this place and save a couple of hundred dollars. Read less EV charging station O.O.S. My husband and I spent 5 days at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel. Our first impression as we drove up was how pretty it is. The grounds and the building are charming. The staff at the front desk greeted us warmly. They were helpful and accommodating. Our room was lovely. The entire hotel is kept so clean. We literally saw the crew working well into the night. They were also friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful. All in all, we could not be happier and look forward to coming again.

Room was clean but outdated. Great linens. No AC in hallways. Not enough front desk staff for number of rooms. Convenient location.
