This hotel is wonderfully decorated in a Southwest luxury theme. There are bronze statues on the grounds. The large lobby offers several comfortable seating areas. It has the largest indoor hotel pool that I have ever seen. The main building has the lobby, lounge, Mirabel restaurant, 24 hr fitness center and pool. The hotel rooms and suites are in about 5 separate buildings with parking near each building. Sidewalks connect all buildings to the main building. As a Hilton Diamond member we received an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. The spacious rooms also had a Southwest theme. I especially liked the wall mural over the bed, the lit large mirror in the bathroom, the separate light up make up mirror and the copper bowl sink. The round decorated room keys were a nice detail All staff were professional and helpful especially Alisha at the front desk. We had good food and service at Mirabel restaurant for breakfast. I recommend the tres leches French toast with berries. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay and wish we could have stayed longer

This is a good hotel. Our room was quite spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. We liked the way it is set up. The hotel dining area is wonderful. The lobby is nice. The location is good - it is close to everything in Taos. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Love the hotel lobby but not sure the rest of this motel belongs in the Hilton Tapestry collection. Half of the rooms are on the second floor with no elevators which makes for a difficult slog with luggage especially in the high altitude. Older folks may have difficulty. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable. And where the ice machines are hidden, I don’t know, but none are noted on the map they hand out. We got our ice at the bar. The checkout process was confusing with an obviously untrained clerk.

Customer service was poor @ best.. Price too high for experience, decent pool but no hot tub. They wanted to charge me $3.00 for a hot water for wife's tea while rooms were over $200!! Sorry, doesn't work for me.

I normally choose to stay at Hilton's property (Hampton Inns) This property was a purchased property of Hilton's and a remodel. With that being said, I was greeted by Katherine when we checked in. She was pleasant and most helpful with helping us choose our dining options. Our room was clean, however, I was not expecting a Murphy style bed. What I mean by that is only a mattress on a platform. The pillows looked large and fluffy, but when you laid your head, they went flat. Just a personal preference for me. My issue was with the bathroom. The shower head had a distinctive leak that should have been caught and the faucet over the sink needed to be tightened. If routine maintenance was being done, these items would have been caught. At check out, I did notify the front desk of the issues in the room. I would recommend this property. It's just not my favorite. We did take Katherine's advice an ate at the hotels bar. Charles Kunkel and Stephen Martoya provided our drinks and food. It was all perfect. I would recommend Yellow & Blue Corn Chips (Trio of Salsas Rojo, Verde & Chipotle), Shrimp Tostada and Chef Damon's Mac n' Cheese. Charles did an amazing job preparing the food even the presentation was great.

We stayed one night at Don Fernando's in July. The room was excellent as was the service. My husband and I decided to spend the extra money and enjoy drinks and dinner at the bar in the restaurant. What a mistake!! The bartender was a crab and did nothing all night long but complain about her coworkers and the customers - especially a customer that had concerns about a food allergy. The service was slow, the food was cold, and we had to ask several times for our bill. Then, the other bartender started talking politics with the couple next to us - the same couple that the female bartender had been spewing to! I do not care to hear politics - especially left -wing liberal politics - discussed when I am trying to enjoy my cold dinner. Stay away from the restaurant and bar unless you want an expensive, unpleasant evening!!

Great sleep! Awful restaurant service Everything was expected except for the bartender. She was the absolute worst. There were 4 people at the bar and she was as slow as Christmas! So we went to the bar to get a drink after waiting for 15 minutes. She told us to go sit down and she “I’ll get to you.” Rude personality and the worst service I’ve ever received at a Hilton!
