Excelsior Palace Hotel ★★★★
"After exiting the Taormina bus terminal, walk through the entire old town; the hotel is 50 meters to the left after exiting the Catania city gate. The hotel is located in a palace building; the rooms have balconies with excellent views. Breakfast is plentiful, and the front desk staff are very welcoming."
Hotel Baia Azzurra ★★★★
"The hotel is nice, clean, the staff is pleasant. The room doesn’t really have a view, but there is a nice terrace at the hotel overlooking the sea, we only slept in the room. The breakfast was good, I didn’t like the coffee. There is a store nearby."
Hotel Villa Sonia ★★★★
"Villa Sonisi, a very good experience❤️ 1. Service The staff are warm and friendly and the service is thoughtful. The reception is efficient, the staff are helpful and provide excellent service. Especially the Godfather day trip💕 2. Location The accommodation is in a great location, located on the hill with a beautiful view of Mount Etna. 3. Breakfast The breakfast is rich and varied, delicious and includes options such as bread, hot food, fruit and yogurt. Healthy breakfast options are available for gluten-free and dairy-free. 4. Hygiene The accommodation is very clean and tidy, and the room is spacious and clean. 5. Value for money This accommodation is very cost-effective, cheap and of acceptable quality. 6. The only regret is that the room we booked is close to the roadside, and the sound of passing cars at night is very loud, especially the sound of cars and motorcycles is too noisy, which affects the quality of sleep."
Hotel Continental ★★★
"We were very satisfied with the room, located on the second floor. There wasn't the rooftop music we expected at night. A highlight was the complimentary lemonade at the front desk, and they could help call a taxi to the bus terminal (note that you should make sure the taxi fare is the same as what you agreed beforehand, as they might try to charge extra). We were initially directed up stairs by Google Maps, but after contacting the hotel, they informed us of a route that didn't require climbing stairs and arranged for someone to pick us up – a very helpful experience. Taormina is located on a hillside with a steep incline, making it quite a challenge to drag luggage around. There's a bus stop right outside Taormina train station; you can take a bus to the hillside or the top. A cashier will collect the fare when the bus is about to arrive – €1.10 per person to the hillside."
Taormina Park Hotel ★★★★
"The guest rooms were a bit old, the air conditioner was quite noisy, and the toilet had some issues with the water flow. However, the view from the balcony was fantastic, offering a direct view of the volcano and the sea. The service staff were very warm and cheerful, clearly showing their passion for the service."
Splendid Hotel Taormina ★★★★
"The hotel is in a good location, close to the city, the staff is very friendly, the environment is very good, the price is very good, the breakfast has many choices and tastes good! Recommended! The sanitation is good, and the room is spacious and new!"
Taormina B&B ★★★
"The location is great, but there are many stairs, so it's not suitable for people with large suitcases. Breakfast is served in the room's mini-bar; the drink selection is quite extensive, but other choices are average. Check-out is before 10:00 AM, otherwise there may be additional charges."
Hotel Villa Paradiso ★★★★
"The room is much smaller than expected vis a vis the amount I have spent. Location is convenient for access to the town. Breakfast is outstanding with rooftop view of Mt Etna."
Hotel Isabella ★★★
"We (couple) stayed at this hotel for one week in September. I regretted this as our choice for accommodation as the quality was so poor. I had booked it purely based on the location but after having been to Taormina there are many places off the main street which are just as well located. The town is small and very walkable even if you are not on the main street. In fact, we regretted being on the main street as we were woken up at 5/6am every morning the crash of bottles being collected by trucks outside. The first issue we had when we arrived was that the hotel had no irons. Everything we had packed needed to be ironed after being in our cases. In my opinion having an iron in the room/hotel is an absolute basic and must. The reception said that they could not provide this due to 'security'. This sounded unusual but when I googled; a hotel which is not up to fire safety standards is not allowed to provide irons/kettles in the rooms, so I guess this is the case here. Another weak point is the breakfast offering. There was very little selection and the bread was not fresh. The first few mornings there was a lovely lady serving breakfast but the next few days there was a man who just seemed annoyed with everyone, we found him to be rude and after this we decided to avoid the breakfast altogether. It was much better to get a coffee and patisserie outside. The rooms in general are in need of an upgrade, you can feel that the owner of this hotel does not care about the product but still charges high prices. We had curtains falling down and mold and rust in the bathroom. Despite being totally let down by the quality of the hotel there was a lovely gentleman called Carmelo who worked nights on reception. He greeted us every night and we had some nice chats with him. To sum up, I work in the hotel industry myself and would absolutely not write a bad review if I didn't feel it was warranted. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel and most definitely will not be back there myself. Its a real shame to the owners/management."

Cohen House
"We absolutely loved our stay at Cohen House Taormina. The sea view is incredible and honestly one of the best we’ve seen in Taormina—blue water, coastline, and stunning sunsets right in front of you. The location is ideal: close to the beach, 5-minutes ride away from the historic center, restaurants below the house, and shops, still quiet and relaxing. Everything was within walking distance, which made exploring Taormina so easy. This place really added to the whole experience of our trip. Highly recommended if you want a memorable stay in Taormina."
Jonic Hotel Mazzarò
"I really loved the environment and location. The neighborhood was very safe, quiet despite being in a bustling area, and the staff were friendly. It's only a few minutes' walk to the beach. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip."
Hotel Isola Bella
"Lovely hotel right in the waterside, restaurant was a bit dated but still pleasant"
Hotel Lido Mediterranee
"It boasts a prime location with a private beach with crystal-clear waters. The large terrace offers unobstructed views of the vast ocean."
Hotel Metropole Taormina
"In total, it was a good stay. The price 1150€ for 2 nights is insane though. I like that the pool is open 24/7 and there is a beautiful restaurant with a view. The property also offered an upgrade, which was nice. The rooms are white and cold, though. Also the rooms should be cleaned while the guests are having the breakfast, so they need to use the updated system for tracking that."
Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina
"One of the best hotels in the world."
La Plage Resort
"We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area. We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella. The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back"
The Ashbee Hotel
"Very nice hotel in the center of Taormina. Positive services, the only flaw being a 5 star was having to call the reception only once for cleaning"
Hotel Villa Taormina
"We had a wonderful stay here. The building is beautiful, all the staffs we met are very kind, and the location is perfect, with the hotel being close to every spot in town. We would especially like to thank Klaudia for giving us a warm welcome, patiently answering all our questions, and offering professional advice for our trip around town. Definitely coming back again."
Bay Palace Mazzarò
"The hotel is not 4 stars. When it opened, maybe it had these stars for the 90s, but since then, apparently, no repairs have been done. The location is not the best - 15 minutes walk to Isola Bella along the side of the road, 10 minutes to the funicular. If you leave the hotel to the left, you can walk to the sandy beach, there are many times fewer people there! There is also a staircase to the city, not as well-maintained as from Isola Bella, but close by. The breakfasts are meager - for 4 * very modest. The service is excellent, everyone is happy, everyone is smiling. Those who have a car - parking is a problem, the hotel has 5 parking spaces, there is no parking on the road. If you are lucky with the room, then a gorgeous view of the sea! We had a Deluxe, 3rd floor, right there is an exit to the pool, very convenient. The pool itself is small. By the way, the hotel is in the shade after 12 noon, so you can't sunbathe by the pool. It was more advantageous in terms of price, but I'm not sure if it's worth it."
Hotel Villa Belvedere
"The scenery is beautiful, the price fluctuates greatly, it is worth it within 2000. I added 60 euros to change to a sea view room and breakfast, which is a great deal. The attitude of the service staff is so good, better than a five-star hotel"
Hotel Rivage Taormina
"We chose this hotel based on price and proximity to Taormina, but we were really pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The decor was fresh and modern and the hotel seemed better than a 3 star. The place was spotless - the cleaners were constantly at work. We had a deluxe room (209), which was spacious and had a large oceanfront balcony with two sun loungers and a table with two chairs. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and there was a rain shower. The water pressure was great. The lift is slow, but we only used it for our cases. There was a good selection at breakfast for the size of the hotel. It was quite quiet when we were there, as it was towards the end of the season. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and were able to answer any questions we had. The hotel has its own beach club, which served great food and drinks and was staffed by the same people we saw at breakfast. Sun loungers and parasols were available free of charge for hotel guests, though you cannot reserve the front couple of rows. The small pool area was a peaceful oasis and the cabana beds are a lovely touch. Letojanni itself was a great base. We didn't have a car and it was easy to get the bus to/from Taormina. The sea is great for swimming, though drops off sharply so may not be suitable for children. The beach is stony - don't expect golden sand. There are lots of restaurants to choose from here, if you don't wish to eat in Taormina in the evening, and these are far more reasonably priced. We enjoyed meals at Arco Rosso (ridiculously cheap) and Ristorante Da Nino. Would 100% recommend this hotel. The only suggestion I would make is to put a chest of drawers in the room for more storage."
Palazzo Vecchio Taormina
"There was no sunshine on the first day, so I didn’t feel anything. It was not until the sun came out on the second day that I realized the beauty of the room. The hotel service is good, breakfast is ordered and the quality is good. But dinner must be booked in advance, otherwise you won’t be able to eat it. The drinks bar is free but there is no coffee machine. The bathroom facilities and size are good 👍 and it is comfortable to use. If you are an elderly or disabled person, please note that the hotel is in the old town and cars cannot enter. You have to climb a high flight of stairs to get to the hotel. The staff will help you carry your luggage, so don't worry."
B&B Sicily in Love
"A splendid weekend with my familyaux An average structure should have 13 rooms, large renovated, with fridge kitchenette welcome kit for the bathroom New shower and bathroom Italian breakfast with good quality products Strategic position to then use departure to visit Catania, Taormina ,etna Exceptional price. Free parking The rooms are made up every 2 days I would only change this for guests staying 2/3 nights The cleaning and the bed made up are very top We will be back"
Hotel Caparena
"We had a disappointing experience at this hotel. By way of background, we booked the premium top floor room with Ocean View, which cost approximately $400 a night. For that large sum of money (to us, at least), we encountered a fairly run down, and very much lived in, hotel. Based on the positive reviews, we were pretty shocked by what we discovered when we arrived at the hotel and saw our room (which included leaks right near the entrance to the room and on the balcony). But more than anything, we were disappointed by the fact that our room happened to be missing a “Do Not Disturb” sign, which meant we were woken up twice by housekeeping fairly early in the morning (even after we told housekeeping to please let us sleep). When we told the front desk about our experience, their response was little more than “Oops, oh well.” Given how much we paid for the room, and all of the issues with the room (and hotel), it was a disappointing end to an underwhelming stay."
Taormina Palace Hotel
"The room was clean and tidy, and the balcony facing the sea view was a plus. The only downside was the inconvenient location; there was nowhere to park if you were driving."
