Nice view and good location,but the hotel need collect RM50 deposit.So can prepare some cash for the hotel deposit.

Never had such poor services, bed sheet (see Pic) and window are unclean, kettle broken, and ants found on the table... If you are looking for a clean place, this one is not recommended.

Second stay at this hotel, love the location, front beach hotel and it's not far from everywhere. Morning walk with the beautiful sunrise view...

The hotel is located at the beach front and near to the main road. It is accessible to town and Gurney. There is a food court in a walking distance which you can find all the local dishes there, such as satay, peanut pancakes, bak kut teh, prawn noodles, curry noodles, Indian Apom balik etc. The hotel room is spacious and neat . It provides organic herbal body wash, hair shampoo,hair conditioner and hand liquids . The gym has nice see view. There is a beach pub where you have drink there. The swimming pool is kids friendly and there is a kids club where they can play at there. This hotel suits young kids and teens . We will come back again for the sixth time.

Staff was helpful the moment I got off the cab with my heavy luggage. Daily housekeeping was very consistent and satisfactory. Air conditioning was strong! Room was a lot bigger than I expected! I’d love to be back if I’m ever in Penang for holiday again 🥰

Everything was good especially their breakfast spread. Really love how they always fill up the foods even when it’s near end of the breakfast time. Beautiful and clean beach.

Hotel room service is good, the staff also friendly, it's was a nice hotel to visit and stay again. Swimming pool kids was playing well and like it. Thanks

Enjoy our stay at Mercure. It was truly valuable for money. The rooms were well renovated and spacious. However, there were minor spots where the cleaners could've missed, and the children's room might need some renovation to make it more welcoming. Will definitely come again.

Room and location are awesome Service is poor. Request for room decoration 1 week ago and email to remind them i am reach at 8pm. When i check in to the room nth is done. But front desk still remember charge me the decoration fee. Proven. Nobody check the room before guest arrival. The front office manager or duty manager trying to chill me and offer some meal. I declined. And she done the decorations after this. But after this none of the service recovery done Amenities. Request for extra bath towel. The housekeeping gentlemen ask me to exchange. And he told me he replaced…. Well. What is the point we need to argue about this. Most funny part. Request for RM50 deposit. Make my check out queuing for 10min to get back the money. Why dont just get credit cars hold? You can email me anytime **********************

Pros and cons but for that price I would expect more. They did not allow us to have an extra towel. This is basic and no hotels have ever refused this request as it is a priority to ensure that all guests enjoy a comfortable stay. It is difficult for ladies with long hair to only have one towel and this I believe is not too much to ask for. Furnitures were not maintained well, the handle bars of the cupboard had sharp edges due to wear and tear and that’s dangerous for anyone who weren’t cautious about it especially when kids come along. Cups were chipped and could easily slice anyone’s fingers. The jar they provided to refill drinking water from the tap was mouldy.

Hmm…1st impression the moment you get into the lobby is wow! You can see the ocean and you know your holiday has started 😍 Unfortunately for us, the day we check in, it was the day that a group of 50 +people from a company (doing team building) has checked in, hence the noise was like you are in the outdoor Bangkok market. I think the hotel could have professionally got the noise under control as it is a bit unfair for other guests that is residing at the hotel. There was no welcome drink nor any explanation about the hotel from the staff that check us in. I find it a bit bizarre because this hotel is run by Accor. My expectation was slightly higher. I have stayed other Mercure hotels and this one I must say was not the best in terms of service. To make things more unpleasant, there was hair left by other previous guests in our bathroom. Cleaning wise…hmm I rate them 5/10. There was no body lotion provided and we had to asked their staff to refill our shower gel despite cleaning was done. Overall, it was A ok. There’s plenty of room for improvement.

Second stay. However the experience is getting bad and disappointed. First check in stuff seem unfriendly and rude. Second, after get in the room feeling dusty every part of the room. The bed sheet was broke and also dusty. The pillow was dirty with stain . I think it should not put in a broken bed sheet for your customer even a two star hotel won't do this but your hotel was 4stars. Again for the tea and coffee part. They provide the wood stir with mouldy . When request for filling toiletries because of staying two days. The front desk stuff still unfriendly and rude when answering the phone. The tv remote can't functioning. Conclusion, it really disappointed and won't come back again.
