Our Tourguide Julio was very nice and had a lot of knowledge and experience. We saw some cool animals and he alwas knew where to search them.

Worst experience I’ve ever had! Staff are rude and disrespectful when I tried to complain the worker Darwin continued to be rude and disrespectful! Julio my guide was also rude and not bothered and seemed like he didn’t want to be there he also didn’t speak English fluently (one of the girls on our trip had to translate for him regularly) and couldn’t answer questions we had about the animals

We had the best time with Fernando our tour guide and the whole trip! Although seeing the animals depends on luck, Fernando’s sharp eyes and knowledge helped us see so much and understand the jungle much better. Fernando’s knowledge about the forest, the animals and history of the plant world is wonderful.

Our guide Julio Cesar had lots of knowledge about the region, he knew how to describe each one of the animals we saw during our stay with detail (lots of them). Our stay in Monte Amazônico Lodge was an extremely pleasant surprise. The infrastructure is original and comfy with good food beautiful area and even a nice swimming pool to relax in the hot weather. Activities were complete and carefully planned to respect nature. Most of all, the staff was prepared and relying, I would definently reccomend this place, hope to be back soon.

What can I say. Saw so many animals, very experienced tour guides, good food, well organised. We did the 4 days/3 nights.

We were really looking forward to our stay, especially because of the location and wildlife, but unfortunately the lodge did not meet our expectations. On the positive side our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the environment, and we were lucky to spot a wide variety of animals at Sandoval Lake, which was the highlight of the trip. Other than that, the trip had few positives. There was no wifi or power outlets in the room. The Lodge provided no shower soap or shanpoo, which is surprising for a place that advertises itself as a resort. The shower only had cold water and the bathroom has a strong sewage smell. One day, the water stopped working entirely for several hours. The food was very bland, and felt more like a school cafeteria than a lodge in the Amazon. Much of the property looks neglected, with parts of the resort and surrounding areas appearing abandoned or rundown. Throughout our third day, llegal gold mining in the river by the lodge disrupted the peace. The noise could be heard all over the lodge area. It’s a shame, because the natural surroundings are stunning and the wildlife was fantastic. But the poor infrastructure, lack of maintenance, and overall guest experience made this stay a disappointment. We chose a 4 days 3 night trip, and by the end we just wanted to get back to the town to have some freedom over what to eat and what to do. If you want to experience the peruvian Amazon rainforest, please go for another lodge.
