Very small room I can’t believe this is a Hilton property. Over price!!!!!!! I will never stay here again

I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties over the years, and this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had. When we arrived around 6 p.m., our rooms weren’t even ready. We waited about 30–40 minutes in the lobby before being given keys. Once inside the room, I immediately discovered a roach on the bedding. I reported it to the front desk, only to be told that two other rooms (311 and 317) had the same problem that night. There was no manager on site, and the staff seemed unsure of how to handle the situation. Because it was a busy weekend, there were no alternative hotels available for my group, so we had no choice but to stay overnight. The next morning, I spoke with someone from housekeeping who casually shrugged off the situation and said the roaches were “a Florida thing.” As a native Floridian, I can assure you – roaches crawling inside guest rooms and on bedding is NOT normal. That’s a pest control issue. I was told the manager would call me later that day. No one ever did. When I followed up myself, the manager was dismissive, unprofessional, and abruptly ended the call after saying she “refunded a room,” with no explanation or written confirmation. Between the lack of cleanliness, the pest infestation, the poor communication, and the unprofessional handling of the situation, this was a completely unacceptable experience — especially from a Hilton-branded property. I would caution anyone considering this location to be aware of these issues. The standards here are nowhere near what Hilton represents.

What a TRU gem of a place. Caters to children and adults. Close to all. Very clean and wonderful staff.

Overall impression? Simple, clean, great location, great staff. But I probably wouldn’t stay here again, if only based on what I seek in hotels for business trips. Super lovely young lady at reception when I first checked in, very helpful and welcoming. In fact, all staff were helpful whenever I needed them and someone was always at the front desk. This was my first time at a Hilton Tru hotel, and I didn’t realize just how sparse the rooms would be. It felt like being in a college dorm room. That being said, the room did have everything I needed, and the decor was fun, colorful and simple … except I’m used to having a microwave, which I use often for work travel. I did discover there is one for guest use in the lobby area. Room was clean(ish), and there were plenty of towels. I was especially impressed with the huge amount of lighting in the room … but there were no bedside lights, so it’s either super dark or super bright all the time — there’s no in between. Plenty of hooks in the main room. Unfortunately, the bathroom was lacking a few hooks — or at least lacking towel rails for hand towels. Small but well maintained gym that seemed to be used by quite a few people. Well stocked market at reception. Fun quiet spaces in the lobby. Alas, loud traffic noise all night. But the hotel itself was quiet and I slept well the entire week I was there. Bed was comfy but pillows a tad too lumpy. Excellent location of hotel.

First of all the aroma in the hallways and elevators was very relaxing. The whole property was extremely clean and well kept.The room was beautiful with modern furnishings and decor.The lobby amenities are the highlight. Free real breakfast every morning (not just danish and coffee.) Relaxation booths,24/7 coffee /tea bar, pool table, snack bar. And a beautiful outdoor patio. Staff overall was smiling and friendly at all times. I enjoyed a 3 day 5 star stay!

This was my first stay at Tru and i thoroughly enjoyed it. It was quiet and even had quiet times posted which was vitally important since I was traveling w an elderly person. They also had games like the giant Connect 4 game in the lobby for just in case moments. Will stay at another one.
