I think this is a great Japanese hot spring hotel in all aspects. It is convenient to drive there. In May, you can also encounter a large cherry blossom forest on the road. The water quality of Fukuchi Hot Spring is very good, the private bathing space is large, and the outdoor scenery is also very artistic. The hotel provides extremely thoughtful Japanese-style services. There is a handsome Chinese guy who can communicate without any obstacles. My parents, who have never tried hot springs and have eaten breakfast at convenience stores for three days, burst into tears after seeing such a rich breakfast and dinner. We booked a Japanese-style river view double room, which was very clean. There was a small heater in the room. As soon as we entered the room, I remembered a scene in Gintama where everyone was huddled in the heater on a cold day and couldn't go out.
Note: There is a toilet and a washbasin in the room, but no bathroom. We basically took a bath in the hot spring, so there was no need to go back to the room to take a bath.
Transportation is not very convenient. You need to buy a bus ticket at Takayama Nohi Station to Fukuchi Onsen Station. There is a bus every two hours, so you need to check the time in advance.
