The city is small and can be walked in 30 minutes.

Taihape Motel.
Good little Motel but we felt a little cramped. It could do with a better armchair which was so low it was hard to get out off. Seemed like it's feer had fallen off. Bigger mugs and three, not two, would be helpful. We appreciated the ellectric blankets.

Very old. Worn out chairs, very old decor and appliances...looks like original 60s shower with poor water pressure - had to run around to get wet! Budget heat pump that took ages to warm the room.

It was all there, but somewhat quaint and cute; a taste of the good old days. The heatpump was old and ineffective, but the bed was supremely comfortable. An enjoyable one night stay for one person. André.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to and trust me I have been to a 1 and 2 star hotel before in europe and this was the worst I have ever seen there was one bed COVERED in ants sand flys and more!! in the bathroom there were spiders on the roof and the tap wouldnt stop dripping, there are even more bugs crawling all over the floor which is absolutly GROSS!! do not recomend sleeping honestly might aswell sleep in the car
