The concept of a quiet, comfortable garden resort far from the crowds, feels like you're on holiday in Bali 😄

The room is quite large, with one bedroom and one living room. It is indeed a vacation room. The swimming pool is too short to swim at all, maybe only suitable for children. The sound of the banana tree blowing by the wind at night was so loud, it sounded like someone was climbing over the wall to sneak in; the lights in the swimming pool could not be turned off, and the curtains in the room were light-transmissive; it was really a strange experience for me, who is a very light sleeper. torture. The bathroom only had a fixed overhead shower head, no hand shower; one or two nights the hot water ran out quickly. Fortunately, the weather is not cold, so taking a cold bath is not a big problem. The quality of cleaning supplies is very poor. It's best to bring your own cleaning supplies. Breakfast is one of several choices, which is barely okay. The hotel is located in a corner of the countryside. The natural environment is very good, but there is nothing around it.

The Jepara Garden Hotel is a beautiful place. The gardens surrounding the hotel are green, and the layout of the property is great. I reserved a pool villa and it was a great value for the nightly rate. I loved the pool and the private courtyard with greenery. I didn’t have time to use the pool, but it’s clean and a perfect size for a private swim. I ordered the optional breakfast for 60,000 IDR and it was amazing. The coffee was great, and the food was delicious. I opted to eat in jepara for dinner, so I didn’t try the on-site restaurant. The hotel grounds are so beautiful (totally Instagrammable) and the hotel has a small bird sanctuary. Everything about this hotel is relaxing and peaceful. Please note that the sitting area and toilet are located outside of the AC area of the sleeping room, which may not be suitable for some people. The room would fill with mosquitoes when I opened the door to go outside or to the toilet, which made my sleeping a little uncomfortable. And as another person mentioned in a review, the sleeping room has lots of glass doors and the curtains do not block out the light. This caused me to wake up early at 5am when the sun came up. For this reason, I left the hotel a night early and booked a standard hotel in Semarang so I could get a good night’s sleep. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and nice, and the ladies at the reception were very efficient and helpful. As a foreigner, I found it easy to navigate Jepara alone with the Grab app. If you are in Jepara, this is a great hotel to consider!

Lack of transparency and they lie when asked about why additional charges are levied while choosing a payment mode. That was extremely disappointing! It won’t be right to blame the staff as they were super supportive and courteous. Shout out to Annan, the Chef and Sari who took care of our requirements.
