The room is large and comfortable for three people. It is very close to Syracuse University. Coffee, hot tea and milk are available in the lobby 24 hours a day, which is very good.

A beautiful & unique boutique hotel under the Hilton banner. This former synagogue has been transformed into a stunning property. In the lobby, elegant stained glass welcomes you. Our room had 20 foot windows. As beautiful as the hotel is, the staff is even more memorable. Silena was one of the most welcoming & accommodating staff I have met at any Hilton property ever!! We’ll be back!

The hotel is very close to Syracuse University. So it was convenient to drop off and visit my daughter. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The staff is helpful and tries to solves problems. It’s appreciated that they quickly make me another room key when it stopped working, for the second time. They jumped to let me onto and in from the patio that has old door locks that stick. The bar tender is very pleasant but the food is not very good. I’m planning to find another place to stay for pick up in two weeks.

Love this hotel. Got style and class. Very different. Evidently repurposed from a synagogue. Not sure how I feel about that, they moved to new place and sold this place and it become Hotel Skylar. Rooms were really nice and bed magnificent. Staff very friendly. Literally a few minutes walk to Syracuse University - spitting distance. Very convenient. Free parking really nice. Zero complaints and tons of kudos for this place. With our child soon to attend Syracuse, Hotel Skylar is absolutely my go to place to stay. Also, we stayed on the 2nd floor, check out some of our photos. The hallways were different, that's sure, very fun to look at!

We recently stayed at the Skyler Hotel expecting a higher-end experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The best part of the hotel is its location—very convenient to Syracuse University, which is why we booked it. However, the hotel is in serious need of renovation. The hallways had dated furniture, worn carpeting, and creaky floors that gave the whole place a tired eerie feel. The hallways reminded me of something out of The Shining. While our room was clean and more modern than the common areas—with updated decor and hardware—it still had odd quirks - notably a large exposed metal beam running overhead. Even the entryway needed help—there were dead cactus plants in plastic pots, which made for an unwelcoming first impression Parking was available, which was convenient, but there weren’t many dining options nearby. We ended up driving to Meier’s Creek Brewing for a meal. It didn't disappoint. I believe a breakfast was included, but we had no desire to drink or eat there. Even the small lobby bar lacked appeal—it wasn’t inviting at all. On the positive side, the staff was friendly. Still, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, especially not at the inflated rates of $800–$900 a night during university events. For that price, we expect 5 5-star but with the limitation in accommodations in the area, they can inflate the prices. I will drive an hour to avoid this rip off

(Content Alert) People with hygiene problems please look away, this is not suitable for people who used to clean hotel and quality room. 1. Toilet. Appreciate the Toto toilet but the left over whatever you want to call it. I went out to buy toilet cleaner and wipes for this. 2. Curtain never close that will leave an opening to wake you up with sunshine. 3. Shoe box room. Literally smaller than any hotel I stayed. Make sure you don't get to stay floor 1 room 13x.. 4. No coffee machine 5. Book somewhere else.

Don't ever get sick if you booked a room here. Unfortunately, I called shortly after my checkin time explaining that I had been ill and had a doctor's note stating as such. Manager could care less and charged my family for two rooms. I understand there are policies but there are also exigent circumstances. Long-time Hilton traveler who will never book another Hilton hotel again.
