Residence Inn Syracuse Downtown at Armory Square

Centrally located with convenient access to dining and parking. Guests lauded the friendly, professional staff and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

One night stay for a concert in town, and had more than enough issues to almost want to leave and go back home before the concert started. Upon arrival, the building itself (not the whole block) had no power and hadn't all day. Not the employees or managers fault, but the way they handled it was subpar. We were unaware before arriving, we were not offered any option to rebook/check out/stay anywhere else, and were told to walk up 5 floors in the pitch black darkness using just cell phones for light all while carrying all luggage. No emergency lights were on whatsoever, which I feel like is a huge safety concern. We met a maintenance worker on the 5th floor that let us into our room using a master key. Good thing the room has big windows and it was still light out, so we had natural light to rely on for the time being. We were not offered any compensation, apology, or even a bottle of water for the inconveniences. The power came back on at some point while we were gone at the concert or else we would have grabbed our things and left at that point. Average breakfast. Clean room.

My wife and I stayed at the Residence Inn when we were visiting our son. It's your basic, comfortable hotel room, and we had a kitchenette. The hotel is centrally located, and paid parking is available. If the indoor parking spaces in the lot next to the hotel are full, you need to drive around the corner and park on the upper level. You should be aware that the ramp to this lot is unmarked.
