I booked my stay at the Syracuse courtyard by Marriott back in September for one night in April, the 19th. I called two weeks out to request an early check in because we were going to a concert at the dome and wouldn’t be back to the hotel until after midnight. I checked in online a day in advance and went in on Saturday April 19th at 11:00am to try to check in. I was told that no rooms were available (even though all I needed was a key then we were leaving for the concert at the dome). They said they couldn’t give a key out but my reservation was secure. Well, I returned at 12:45 am with my teenage son to find that they CANCELLED MY RESERVATION even with the notes on my reservation that said I would be arriving late. They sold my reservation to another person for a higher rate and sent us 10 miles away to a dumpy Holiday inn express where the shower didn’t even work! The best part is that nobody at the property could even figure out where they had sent my “reservation”. AWFUL customer service and an AWFUL experience! I am beyond furious STILL with this property and DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone!

Decent hotel but very loud street traffic/noise for a mid-week visit. Basic breakfast and workout room. Noise is the downside but there are lots of restaurants within a short distance. Easy parking on-site. No free coffee in morning, but Starbucks on site

Rooms were not ready at promised check in time. My room had an open ceiling tile. Requested an extra blanket via the app but never provided. The front desk provided me with a sheet… not too helpful. I realize that this is supposed to be a “budget offering” but no microwaves in the rooms? Check out is 11am but at 10, the housekeeping staff tried to get into our room. Not a great experience.

This, along with the adjoining Residence Inn, are probably the most poorly managed properties I’ve ever stayed in under the Marriott brand. Sometimes the points just aren’t worth it, and this is one of those times. Highly recommend avoiding.
