The Hampton Inn & Suites Syracuse Dewitt hotel is nestled just off major Interstate 690, with easy access to Interstates 90 & 81, as well. Our hotel is centrally located to meet the needs of any traveler. We are just moments from the Downtown Business District as well as Syracuse University & Lemoyne College. We are just a short drive from Carousel Center Mall, NYS Fairgrounds, museums, and parks.
Our hotel is built on the very sight of the old Erie Canal, which was the main thoroughfare from Albany to Buffalo in the 1800's and early 1900's. This area of Syracuse is just a bustling today! Numerous restaurants, shopping, and entertainment for both adults & children are within walking distance of the hotel. The Syracuse area offers a lot of history as well. Take a trip to our Erie Canal Museum or Salt Museum and learn a little bit about Syracuse's past. If scenery is more your thing then visit our Onondaga Lake Park, Beaver Lake Nature Center, or Green Lakes State Park.

房間較大，但是床品舒適度一般，床單上還有未洗乾淨的污漬。服務不是一般的差，第二天一早客房服務擅自闖入房內兩次，招呼都不打，發現房內有人也不説抱歉，權當沒事人一樣，用不停闖入的方式push退房，完全是為了自己能早點完成工作，用擅自闖入的方式催促你。第一次開門闖入是九點不到，就很離譜，第二次是十點半。酒店規定退房時間是中午十一點....沒到時間就以這樣的方式催促，真是很不禮貌。走的時候客房服務人員還板著臉給你看臉色（客房服務人員是黑人大姐），非常粗魯無禮！前台不服也很差勁，要個水單也不肯給，要啥都不肯給，推三推四。早餐雞蛋是臭的，不知道放了幾天了還給人吃，牛奶沒了也+新的。非常糟糕的一次入住體驗，難怪希爾頓在國內都關的差不多了，和萬豪集團相比真是差太多。

房間設施不錯，沒有燒水壺，免費水也不太願意給，但是最終還是給了兩瓶，服務態度一般，有位男士還不錯。早餐還可以，兩天早上都是一樣的，沒變化。

Located in an industrial area near a major road. Good Ethiopian restaurant 10 minutes away in similar area. I would not stay more than 1 night and find it interesting that this hotel got better reviews than others in the price range. Sad if true. I usually in Rochester but tried Syracuse. Positive - friendly kind staff at desk -crisp clean tight sheets. Seeing some hotels lacking in this but not here -Some nice updates; eg light fixture, towel shelf… Cons -greeted by pool odor -bed uncomfortably firm and made a sound when I would sit down, like a metal drum. - carpet not cleaned at the edge so crumbs near bed - bathroom counter appeared clean and, I imagine the cleaning person made this assumption too and did not bother to wipe it down. So, a nail clipping right on top. ( ugh!) -finger print on inside bathroom door near handle -boxspring cover seedy, crumpled, … -breakfast area and garbage cans not refreshed during the serving time so overflowing, empty oatmeal, really disappointing.

Check in was easy as i had used the app. I got the room I had requested. staff seemed distracted and not particularly friendly. I was not offered my water bottles as normally I would get as a silver member. The room seemed fine- large enough and clean The fridge, microwave, etc were all OK. there were enough outlets for charging items. The bed was clean and comfortable. Oddly the large TV was positioned so it was not in line with either bed and it didn't swivel. the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Oddly the room was warm, but the hotel corridor was kept at about 50F. it was quite chilly walking in the hallway. the hotel was quiet enough. As is all too often the case, there was no computer available for guest use, only a printer which is no help if trying to use Google maps on something bigger than a phone. Breakfast was lame. They were out of waffle batter and the staff seemed more interested in talking on the phone than restocking the breakfast area. I never did get my waffle that day.

Booked an overnight stay as an advance purchase on my Hilton App. Checked in online successfully. Could not get a digital key. Room OK at first glance - I was exhausted from driving in from Ohio. TV did not work. Front desk came up and was unsuccessful in fixing. Sent up Maintenance - unsuccessful as well. Four additional visits over the next two hours did not resolve. I finally had to throw them out so I could sleep. They left the furniture pulled out in the middle of the room. I then noticed what appeared to be old, dried, crunchy, strawberry milkshake on the carpet. I was too exhausted to complain anymore. The refrigerator never got cold, no matter how low the thermostat was set. At breakfast, the egg and meat trays were empty, and stayed that way. The batter dispensers for the waffles were stuck closed. This was at 7:30 AM - prime time... But the hotel was not anywhere near capacity, and the eating area had three guests in it. I went to the front desk and requested a refund, which I was told "was being processed". Three weeks later the GM says there is no record, and "it has to come from Hilton". No effort made to rectify the problem. I am now dealing with Hilton and my credit card company for satisfaction. My recommendation is to avoid this property.

This seems to be an older hotel, but the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Easy on/off from I90. Continental breakfast available. We stopped for a night after a long day on the road. It was quiet as well.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, the breakfast was very good, the staff was friendly. The location is OK, we drove everywhere, there didn't seem like there was much to walk to.
