On our way home from weekend away … phoned ahead … what time does your kitchen close -2pm said the lady. We arrived at 1354… kitchen closed - and despite asking it was a no! Bar man apologetic but really if there is a time it’s a time Poor customer service - so if you phone ahead - they may or may not be open!

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, and the service was absolutely amazing. Thea was fantastic and really made the experience special. The food was great, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The personal touch throughout the stay was a breath of fresh air.

The Husband, the Lurcher and I went here for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable time. The extremely charming manageress (Thea?) seemed to be more or less running the front of house on her own, but made an excellent job of it. Service was warm, friendly and seamless, the food was absolutely delicious (and plentiful...I had to take half of my gnocchi home) and the Lurcher was suitably fussed over. We particularly enjoyed watching the pub spaniel greet new arrivals, accompany them to a table and then periodically check in on them Perfect hosting!

Such a pleasant surprise to find a pub/B & B with such super staff, all of them. I wish I had all their names, but they were all really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. A credit to the Greyhound, well done, team !!...and meeting the beautiful Olive, little puppy made my day!!

Excellent pub hotel in a lovely village location. The room was well sized and very quiet. Very helpful and friendly staff throughout. The pub restaurant has great quality food with a range of local ales and beers. Overall a very peaceful and pleasant stay.

We only stayed one night in a double room with en-suite in Hattie’s House which is a building across the car park and had a wonderful evening meal in the pub itself. The interior of the pub was exceptionally warm and inviting. The breakfast was good also.
