The Fox & Hounds

Food and service was very good and fairly priced. Good selection of beers and wines and again reasonably priced. Rooms are adjacent to the pub and are not really very well sound proofed .The bed was comfortable. In the early morning you can certainly hear the cockerels crowing outside. Continental type breakfast in the room as staff do not start until 11.00am.

Staff are friendly but room downstairs stunk of cigarettes and wasn’t the cleanest, very comfortable bed, I slept well. Service a little slow but understandable with not many staff working. Average stay.

The staff are amazing really friendly. The room is welcoming and comfortable. They sure know how to party in the Fox and the Hound.

Overall ok, but be aware they do not offer breakfast (even though they sell "half board". Room was nice, I had a great view of the open countryside. Very clean and everything worked as expected. They do need to get a new harder mattress though as it felt it was showing its age. Perfect for a holiday/pleasure booking, but the lack of a desk to work from was not great. Food in the attached pub was good quality and tasty, no issues here. Note the place is very dog friendly, so if like me, you are a bit cautious of dogs, it is something to bear in mine. My real issue is that they are selling a package called "half board" however they tell me they do not do breakfast!! So I paid for and expected it, and it never arrived.
