I originally lived in Campo de' Fiori and moved here temporarily. Rome is expensive and crowded. It is really not easy to book a satisfactory hotel in Rome. Plus it is the peak season, so it is really difficult to choose. Now let’s evaluate this George Indigo:
1. Location: The hotel is still in the historical center, and this location is quite convenient;
2. Room: Don’t expect a big room in Rome (except if you are rich and willful). This room is already big, the bed is big enough, and the mattress is comfortable;
3. Breakfast: Breakfast is average. But it seems that breakfast in Italy is like this. There are not many varieties. There are only a few of everything that should be available, such as bread, eggs, ham, sausage, and yogurt. It can't be compared with domestically. Can eat enough.
4. Service: The service is warm and professional. major.
Overall: Overall it’s pretty good. This time we stayed in Italy for 20 days, and we also stayed in Rome for 6 or 7 days. We also stayed in a 16th-century local old hotel, a B&B apartment, and a resort hotel, which is a major international brand group. Chain hotels are relatively stable, there are no big surprises, but there won’t be too many mistakes (in B&Bs, there are always surprises or shocks)
It should be included in my choice when I go to Rome in the future.

Excellent hotel. I stayed 2 nights and from the customer service, the room, the ambiance and food it’s was really enjoyable. The room was very clean and the amenities in the room was not just your average hotel. The bed was so comfortable and my room though not cold was comfortable enough to sleep well. I wasn’t sure what was nearby but I got out and walked and found many restaurants and shopping. The Trevor fountain was in walking distance very beautiful but extremely crowded. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very suitable for business trips or travel vacations. Overall, it is very cost-effective among Rome hotels. The rooms are spacious with independent balconies. There are supermarkets, cafes, 24-hour gas stations, supermarkets and tobacco shops within a 600-800m walk nearby, which can meet basic shopping needs. There are two disadvantages to consider: 1. There are many tour groups in the hotel, and it will be very crowded after 4 pm. At the same time, too many groups of tourists will lead to a poor breakfast experience; 2. There is no subway station or bus near the hotel. There is a subway station more than 1km away on foot, but it is 8-10km away from the city center by car. It is relatively convenient to take a taxi, about 22-30 euros, and the difference between the daytime price and the nighttime price is 5 euros. Considering the overall hotel level and price in Rome, it is worth strongly recommending

We stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn, the airport shuttle was not available to bring us from the airport but we were able to get it back so can't really complain. No problems with check in, the ladies on reception were very friendly as was everyone we encountered at the hotels. Rooms were good size, very clean and serviced every day. Breakfast has plenty of variety there is something for everyone, honestly if you couldn't find something to eat its not the hotels fault. The hot food isn't exactly hot but the hotel caters for large numbers so its not a cooked to order type of place and again if you want a full English this is not the place to go. We ate a few nights in the restaurant and to be honest if was very hit and miss, pizza was good as was the pasta dishes. we had the chicken one night and it wasn't the best. Kids eat free so added bonus. The gym is well equipped. the pool was being renovated so we got to use the pool a few minutes walk from the hotel again it would have been nice to be informed that the pool was being renovated just so we would have had choice about our booking but again nothing major about a few minutes walk. The bar is really lovely to have a drink and chill but the hotel when we stayed was very busy so didn't get a real opportunity to sit and relax there. No major complaints from us but would have loved a fridge in the room it was super hot outside and would have been nice to have the complimentary water chilled. On our last night a tour group arrived so there was a lot of banging of doors and people talking in the corridor late in the night, nothing the hotel can do about loud individuals being inconsiderate to those asleep but other than that a very nice stay. Reception sell the train tickets into Rome and the station is a short walk away. The area is a bit run down but that's nothing to do with the hotel. We would be back to see the renovations in the pool area. Thank you

Nice hotel however the service s terrible! Before we arrived I write the concierge for specific restaurant recommendations. He merely cut and pasted tourist information for 23 restaurants, only of which four met my criteria. Wrote another concierge asking for recommendations for stores that sold handmade gloves. He replied by cutting and pasting tourist information for 33 stores that included Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Tiffany’s… When I clarified in a follow up email that I was looking for a store that only sold gloves made in Italy and not chain stores where I could buy merchandise online, he merely replied by giving me the names of the streets by the Spanish Steps and said to look for a shop in that area! I then contacted the hotel manager who merely apologized instead of telling me that 1 block from the hotel was the glove store I was looking for! When you ask for a taxi, the bellmen tell you to go around the firmer to the taxi stand and try to flag one down! When we arrived, five bellman were chatting with each other and no one helped with our luggage! Laziness on the part of the staff prevails and the mgmt. doesn’t find it important enough to correct.

Slightly out of the city centre but a lovely hotel. The reception staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful, they were absolutely lovely. The pool was amazing, perfect temperature, breakfast great, the rooms nice, prices very reasonable in the restaurant etc. Hotel was very reasonably priced and I have absolutely no complaints at all, a great experience.
Thanks to its enchanting location just a few hundred meters from the main archaeological sites and the majestic Colosseum, which you can almost seem to brush past from the panoramic terrace with summer swimming pool , the Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo offers an unforgettable setting for experiencing the charms of the Eternal City. The recent renovation brings modernity of service and comfort to the hotels already contemporary design, making it perfect for an exclusive business stay as well.

For the price per night, not impressed. Rooms clearly needing updating. Only half if the shower head nozzles worked, carpet had bleach stains, cabinet doors sagging and loose. Econo value pillows, air conditioner sub par.
Nice views from rooftop bar but very expensive compared to nearby resturants. Food average at best.
Front desk and housekeeping employees cordial and very helpful.

I stayed 4 nights at Palazzo Montemartini with my family during our Italy trip. The property is very well maintained and the location is convenient (right across the main train station). Very helpful staff and outstanding service all around. They have a beautiful spa, and we even had time for a 1 hour massage with my son, which I highly recommend (they definitely knew what they where doing). Th building itself looks very Roman and historic, but the interior and the rooms have a much more modern feel. They have a nice rooftop terrace wit great views of Rome. The restaurant was also very beautifully decorated with excellent food options to choose from. There was some elevator issues, but I'm sure it was only temporary, besides there are enough elevators to not make it a big deal. I will definitely stay here again next time. Thank you!!!

As part of our ongoing Europe trip, I stayed with my aunt and my friend for 4 nights; we booked 2 rooms, our bed looked like a double but was 2 single joined so it was great for me and my aunt as we separated the beds. The hotel had good amenities - private bathroom was huge although for some reason the lights would just turn off randomly? I don't know if it was just our room or everyone else's. The swimming pool is only opened in the summer!! so it was closed for us, which was sad.
The staff was really nice and they gave us extra blankets, coffee machine and a kettle when we asked for it! Really appreciated their help and trust me there was so many large groups always arriving at this hotel so they were doing amazing. We paid for dinner once and a breakfast. Dinner was hit or miss - I loved my Chicken salad, but the others weren't impressed with the burgers they had but breakfast was definitely better. I think the star was the beans because wow they were good.
The only major cons about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator (same as Florence) and it was noisy all morning and late at night, plus some construction at like 8am ish so please if you can, ask for a faraway room! Also the distance from the city centre was quite tiring, yes it is only 23 mins metro from the Torre Angela station but an 11 mins walk from the station to the hotel and with our suitcases and the station exit not having any elevators, it was hard work. To get to the hotel side, you need to first go down the stairs, then up the stairs and go down again so if you are walking from the station to the hotel, be prepared!

Liked the location of the hotel in EUR Rome. The rooms are nice and clean, good TV channels including BBC and CNN. The experience was ruined by the 1 hour + noise from the trucks loading and unloading skips in the next door Euromax shopping centre. The banging noise is horrendous. Sara did offer to replace my room but as i had 1 more night i didn't bother. The breakfast area is very busy and chaotic, takes a long time to get coffee from the Barista's. The breakfast items are okay but nothing substantial, they are very supermarket affair. The corridors are boring and dull and definitely 3 stars. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Euromax shopping centre next door is an excellent diversion on a rainy day.

XXIAOLANThe hotel is newly renovated, very clean, booked triple room, is a large bed, there is a sofa bed, the sofa bed is paved. Mini bar food and refrigerator drinks (Coke, Sprite, Orange Juice, Soda, 2 bottles of mineral water) are free, but they are no longer added after use. The breakfast was great and very rich. There is an open-air bar on the top floor, which is open at night. You can sit down and chat without a drink. The hotel is ideally located for all of Rome’s sights.

GGuest User Where I stay when traveling is as important to me as where I am going. That is the difference between being a tourist and a traveler. When I travel, I search out family run bed & breakfasts and or small boutique hotels. Why? The people. People make the difference. On this trip to Rome, I was traveling with my father. I was looking for a small boutique hotel in a quiet location but a location from which all of Rome is easily accessible by walking. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect property than Hotel Monte Cenci. Located on the Via Beatrice Cenci, a quiet location just one block from the Tiber River, and surrounded by gorgeous buildings with window boxes spilling over with geraniums, the Hotel Monte Cenci is a livable work of art. Designed in a historic palazzo this 30-room hotel feels more like a stay in a beautiful private home. Entering from Via Beatrice notice the two story marble lobby flanked by book cases which run the length of the lobby behind the reception desk. You will be greeted as though you are a long friend coming home for a visit. At the south end of the lobby is a magnificent 2 story window that allows light from the lobby to flood into the hotel bar. Just a few steps down from the lobby is a reception room and access to either the elevator to your room or use the stairs. We utilized the stairs. The bedrooms are generous in size with plush bedding, gorgeous ensuite bathrooms (some bathrooms have marble sink tops from historic hotel in Rome), casement triple glazed windows with views onto the surrounding buildings and streets in this quiet enclave. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace. In the afternoon the terrace with its lush plantings and awnings is a great place to escape for a quick nap or down time reading a book-also great in the evenings for a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. The location is perfect. Every attraction is walkable and the best way, and only way in my opinion, to see Rome is to walk. Rome is an open-air museum full of art and architecture and history. Stroll down streets, take the alley way, follow the delicious scents, and discover a small neighborhood osteria or bar. Shop the shops away from the large tourist attractions. Discover a fountain in a piazza and take the time to see Rome, truly see Rome. The beauty of staying in a small boutique hotel is that the people at the hotel will also share with you their favorite places to eat, shop, sip and walk and share historical tidbits. I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci are. They are kind, informative, helpful, funny, welcoming and feel like family. Whether first thing in the morning or late in the evening I looked forward to every interaction with all members of the staff. They make you feel as though you are a family member visiting. Rome is gorgeous. The hotel is beautiful but the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci have beautiful souls that make the stay perfe

AAnonymous UserVery good location, brand new and styled design. Conveniently located for 5 mins walk from the Roma Termini and central point for most of the tourist attractions in Rome.
The only complaint is the lift for accessing the gym is very slow as the gym is contracted out for fitness class and always occupied. Staff are friendly and allowed to have late check out till 1230 to met out train schedule.

GGuest UserThe hotel was conveniently located 5-min from Termini train station and the FCO airport shuttle bus and hop on hop off bus stops just across. We stayed 2 times during our 2 week stay in Rome - over night stay before heading down to Civitavecchia Port for MSC cruise and 4 night stay upon return from the cruise ship. We used the hotel storage service for one of our luggage bags for a week during our 7-day cruise. The hotel staffs were friendly.

GGuest UserIt was pretty good stay overall. It was a decent sized standard sized room. The bathroom was a really good size as well. What impressed me the most was how immaculately clean it was from the minute I checked in thru the duration of the stay. They cleaned the room daily and left a bottle of water when I first checked in which was nice. The staff is nice and friendly for the most part. The breakfast was also pretty good in my opinion. It’s quite varied and a great selection. As far as location, it’s not terrible but not great. It’s a 13 min walk to the metro. However there is a bus around the corner about 2 blocks where it takes 20-30 min into center of town with all major sites. If you’re looking for a stay away from the tourist sites and peaceful then this place is perfect. There are some restaurants and bars in the area that are good. The only thing I was disappointed in was with an issue I was having with a restaurant reservation. I asked the staff to see if they could contact the restaurant to double check on a reservation I made prior. The date was not available on the email I sent. It seemed like the staff was bothered by the request. Just for the record I normally handle these issues myself but it would be a costly call with my phone plan. And I figured since on the website they do state that they help with these types of things I didn’t think it was such a bothersome request. But that was the feeling I was getting back from them. Also I tried making the call from the room but they don’t allow any local calls. Other than that I would not let that minor issue overshadow my stay. I enjoyed the hotel overall.
DDe Bruyn - HendrickxWe stayed at the Hotel Ripa Roma for five nights. At first glance, a very well-kept hotel with a good ratio between price and quality. We were well served on arrival after midnight by the receptionist and were able to get to the room quickly. The last day we could check out until noon, but since our flight was in the evening, we could safely leave our luggage at the reception. A plus, because your last day in Rome can also be a nice one this way without luggage dragging.
The hotel has a very nice, contemporary and artistic look. We like this very much. The room (superior room) was very spacious, clean and with the necessary facilities. The bed was very good. The bathroom was very hygienic, logically arranged with a pleasant shower. About the room we certainly have no complaints. Only the noise from other rooms and the corridor was disturbing. When the guests in the neighboring room turned on their TV, we could perfectly listen in. When shouting in the hallway, it seemed that those persons were standing next to the bed. The rooms are not really soundproof. Fortunately, we had earplugs with us.
We also took breakfast during our stay. Here we are less satisfied. The tableware was dirty (coffee cups brown, cutlery with food residues, plates insufficiently cleaned, glasses full of calcium, ...), in our opinion a limited choice of healthy food (many cakes and cookies) and the hot dishes were cold, even when they were just served. We found the staff unhelpful, even a good morning or a friendly smile was sometimes too much. When we wanted to sit at a table on the small platform in the center of the restaurant, we were sent away because cleaning was already in progress (around 9:30 a.m.). The last two days the hotel was fully booked, which caused a lot of noise in the restaurant. We experienced this as unpleasant. Should we return, we would book a room without breakfast and find a nice breakfast place in town.
Finally, we find the city tax on the high side. For the five nights (six days) we pay €60 (= €5 p.p. per day). That is the highest city tax I have ever paid and we are frequent travelers.
Overall, a nice stay in a well located hotel, with the breakfast restaurant as a point of interest.
GGuest UserThe establishment is located a 2-minute walk away from Termini station so it's very convenient if you arrive by train and plan to use the public transports to move around the city (which is recommended) since from there you can hop on any bus/tram/metro/taxi and go anywhere in the city.
I didn't explore much around inside the hotel, but I can tell that the restaurant area where breakfast was served is located on the last floor where the terrace is located. I always had my breakfast in the porch which is still covered from the rain and wind. In the morning you can find both sweet and savory food including cornetti, cream filled donuts, cereals, cakes, different kinds of bread that you can also toast, eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), ham, mortadella(=bologna), salami, edamer cheese, fruit, milk, orange and pineapple juice and coffee/tea/capuccino served with an automatic machine. Finally on every table you could find small jars of jam/marmalade.
You can reach the floor with 2 separate elevators and I believe the terrace also hosts a bar with music in the evening.
I was given a double room to be used as a single so the bed was large but I don't think it would be big enough for two people. The room included a mini bar, an electric kettle with cups that you could use to make tea or instant coffee, a safe and of course a set of towels, soap, shampoo, shower cap and a shoe brush. The bathroom although quite narrow included the bidet and disposable bags for tampons. On the downsides even though it was cleaned daily it seemed that some spots were overlooked for example a phone present in the bathroom was always covered in dust since before I arrived and the shower could use some descaling since most of the streams were clogged. Having a freezer in the room contributes at making it very warm. and finally, although not really an issue for me, the window was facing the inside of the building but on the bright side I believe that facing the street would have caused the hearing of a lot of noise. Talking about noise it was very quiet and the only sound I could hear were sometimes people walking in the corridor outside my room and in the evening the music coming from the terrace bar I believe, even though it stopped playing at midnight.
I didn't get to experience any other amenity nor the room service since it wasn't in my interests or I didn't need to while I was there so I cannot give any comment.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a nice location with a train entrance just down the street. It was very clean, our room was very nice for the four of us and the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their breakfast every morning- it had a.good selection of breakfast food. Several great restaurants in the area. We enjoyed the wine bar next door - great food and wine. We also had wonderful drinks at Gatsby’s on the other side of the hotel. It was a 15 minute walk from the main train station which was not bad at all. We had a wonderful dinner around the corner at Vecchia Roma- you must make a reservation or get there before they open to get in line. We got there 15 minutes after they opened and waited 35 minutes for a table but it was worth it. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Hotel Torino with a group. I would not recommend this hotel. The bed mattresses were completely worn out, no blankets on bed so we had to use ancient bedspreads. Hot water took 10 min to reach shower but if you tried to add cold to adjust temp, all hot water vanished. The hot shower was a trickle. Bathroom shampoo was powered and unusable. Breakfast was mediocre - fresh fruits were non-existent, coffee was not good, pastries were unappetizing, and boiled eggs severely over cooked. Thank goodness for the the granola which was delicious. Very few breakfast options nearby so we were stuck with the hotel choices. Our 7th floor room did not automatically lock, so room had to be locked from inside with key as well as locked with key whenever we left room. Other rooms in hotel did not have this issue. Keys had hotel name and room number plastered on the keychain which is a security issue if lost. Wifi dropped constantly. The safe did work and the room was made up each day (though our group had varied experience with housekeeping making up the rooms). If we had not been with a group, we would have left and found new accommodations.

It was a decent hotel, I'd say this is more of a premier Inn type of hotel, there's not much range when it comes to breakfast, bacon and eggs and mostly cake. It's quite far from Rome center so will need to get the metro, 15 minutes walk to the metro and then about 30 minutes on the metro to Rome center. I think getting charged £45 for tourist tax is ridiculous, especially being far out, with this extra money could have booked a hotel closer to Rome center.
