Enjoyed a very pleasant 4 day trip to visit the historical and revolutionary sites of Yan’an and the trip was made much better thanks to a very comfortable and convenient stay at the Wanda Realm. For anybody who plans to visit the city I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located just to the south of the old city of Yan’an in the newly built Wanda City area. It is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the old center (depending on traffic) and it’s relatively easy to call a taxi with a ride hailing app like Didi. It’s also within walking distance of the Red Street 红街 tourism area that has a theatre, cinema, activities, coffee shops and restaurants.
The hotel is new and all of the main public areas are clean and well maintained - such as the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurant and gym/pool. The gym contains my favorite Life Fitness gym equipment (a quality brand) and the multi-lane, 25m meter pool is a dream for anyone who likes to swim. It even offers a good view.
The hotel breakfast is very good value for money and offers a high quality selection of Western-style food (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and cereals) as well as very tasty local Chinese food - especially local Yan’an/Shanxi noodles and dumplings. For any foreigners like me, you’ll get a good sense of local taste with good ingredients.
The room was very clean and spacious with nice balcony and great view of the lake and Red Street. Service staff was excellent and many staff speak good English. We even received a nice hand written message and welcome fruits.
Especially if you travel with children, this is where you should stay in Yan’an. Thank you for making my holiday more enjoyable.

Very good homestay, because the road was closed due to heavy snow, I came to Yan'an unplanned, and I stayed at the left and right guest homestay. 酒店在金延安，是距離延安市區的寶塔山景區大約10公里. 酒店的免費地下車庫車位足夠多，有車庫專用電梯到大堂的隔壁，還是挺方便的。酒店的建築格局與設施，比我想象的好很多，客房裡麪的設計是窯洞式的感覺，我們倆都挺喜歡的。金延安在延安市當地來説，就是個吃喝玩樂加拍照的網紅打卡地，停好車後就可以逛吃逛吃一整天，不過個人還是比較喜歡太陽西斜至華燈初上的時候去，慢慢亮燈的感覺很好，感覺整個區域都變漂亮了。關於酒店，有兩點意見，希望能夠做出改進。第一就是衞生間淋浴房區域沒有毛巾架，浴巾是放在衞生間坐便器上方，與淋浴區中間還隔着兩個洗臉盆的位置，使用不是很方便。第二點要吐槽的就是早餐，我們入住的時候服務生沒有介紹，第二天早上打電話問了才知道，原來早餐要去別的地方也就是老闆開的另外一家民宿的地下去用餐，服務生態度很好，到路邊轉彎處來接我們，謝謝！早餐的食物品種很少，僅有的幾張桌子坐滿了客人，想問問服務生我們可以坐哪兒的時候，發現整個餐廳沒有服務員，衹有一個在廚房裡的中年男人，我們説的普通話他聽不懂，還是邊上在用餐的客人幫我們翻譯的，他哼哧哼哧了半天也沒有回答我們的問題。我們衹好在隔着大玻璃貌似會議室的大桌子邊上坐下，隨便吃了點就離開了，離開的時候看到廚房的這個人在裏面抽煙玩手機，很不理解現在都什麼年代了，公共區域還能抽煙，特別是廚房。我們立即決定第二天酒店提供的免費早餐不吃了，去外面找了一家餛飩店吃第二天的早餐。

The park is covered with green plants. There are outdoor swimming pools for children and adults. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and didn't have time to experience the water. There are also gardening arrangements, complete housing facilities and equipment, clean and tidy. The staff is very considerate. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were so loving and warm, making the fatigue of our trip disappear.
The room we stayed in was a suite. It was clean and quiet, and the surrounding environment was elegant. At this price, it was very cost-effective. The hotel tried its best to help with any needs we had, which made my father and mother full of praise for them. There were programs in the evening and they were interactive with the audience. GGuest UserWe booked two rooms, both with a big kang. It was very spacious when we pushed open the door, and the layout was very typical of northern Shaanxi.
The yard is a standard farmyard, kept very clean and nice for children to run around and look around.
The boss and his wife are very nice, and the food tastes good.
It is very close to Qiankun Bay. You can see the Yellow River in a few steps on the road next to the house. The scenery is great. There are jujube trees on both sides of the road (you can reach them and secretly pick two 🤭)
The mountain road is rugged and there is a section of stone-paved washboard road, so you have to be careful when driving.

It seems that many hotels buy the most inexpensive machines to be able to add laundry room to their amenities list. We are into our sixth week of travel in China and we depend on laundry rooms as an essential item not a luxury add on.

The digital door lock via WeChat is a highlight, but it’s a bit inconsistent to need to get a ticket for meals! The sanitation is good. There is a washing machine in the laundry room that can be used for drying. The parking lot is a bit small and you have to go out backwards, but it can be parked no problem. There is room for improvement in the breakfast. It is a bit monotonous at the moment. The beautiful woman at the front desk has a very warm attitude. Before leaving, A few bottles of water were also delivered to the car. I got 5 points for this! objective comment.

GGuest UserThe environment is good, and it is relatively expensive in Yan'an. It is right next to the train station, which is very convenient and close to the city. However, because the hotel is too close to the train track, the noise from the high-speed train passing the station is still quite loud.
The front desk service is very good and very welcoming. Check out was quick enough. However, there is no disposable toilet cover, so it is recommended to improve it.
I didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment. Overall, it's worth recommending.
