What began as a fairytale family vacation ended in a nightmare. The hotel is new, luxurious, and serene. Angelica at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate our group. She was gracious and friendly giving us the true personalized VIP experience. We enjoyed the soft beds, beautiful decor, and cozy family time around the fire pit. Unfortunately, our stay was ruined by the front desk manager Victoria who from the first moment gave us bad vibes. We were offered late checkout without even requesting it. At one o'clock precisely Victoria literally kicked us out of our rooms. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were delayed and agreed to pay the late fee from one. We were slapped with over 440$ in late fees for all the rooms! This is absurd! When I complained, Tracy Lynn said we signed forms during check-in blah blah. Be forewarned this hotel makes you sign things and then holds you responsible! In addition, they charge prohibitive fees for late checkout. A nightmare!

"I don’t typically write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about our unfortunate experience at this hotel. While the atmosphere was pleasant and the front desk staff, especially the doorman, were friendly and accommodating, our checkout experience was an absolute nightmare. The Manager, Victoria, assured us there would be no charge for our 20-minute late checkout. However, not only were we hit with three unexplained fees—totalling more than the cost of our room—but Victoria’s behavior throughout the process was incredibly unprofessional. Despite her initial assurance, she made no effort to resolve the situation and completely disregarded our concerns. Calls to the hotel for clarification were ignored, making it clear that customer service is not a priority here. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel until they address these unacceptable business practices and lack of accountability, particularly from management."

I never write bad reviews, but i feel compelled to save others this misery. The hotel's pleasant atmosphere and friendly front desk staff (special shout-out to the doorman and front staff!) were overshadowed by a nightmare checkout we experienced. The Manager VICTORIA clearly told us we won't be charged for a 20 minute late checkout, but we were slammed with THREE mysterious fees. THAT COSTED MORE THAN OUR ROOMS. Calls for clarification were ignored. Unacceptable business practice! Avoid this hotel at all costs!

First impression of SW it’s wonderful from the time you enter the lobby area! The rooms are wonderful from the bed to the soft robs that’s offered in each room. The front desk staff was amazing as well our entire weekend stay. HOWEVER, I had an incident where I missed placed my card and so I called the hotel and asked if they could help me with my incidental refund since I no longer had the card anymore. I received a call back from the hotel manager VICTORIA who tells me that I also owe $400 for damages to the linen and robes that was dunced with red wine. I did inform Victoria that I did spill red wine on the night stand that may have splashed just a little on the bedspread but not that much because I caught it with my own green bath towels that I brought to the hotel. I also told her that no red wine was spilled on neither robe because one robe had been hanging up in the bathroom the entire weekend and as far as the towels that belong to the hotel I don’t recall anything getting on there towels because AGAIN I used my own personal green towels to gather up the spill. I even left the green towels with all the red wine in the bathroom on the floor. I then asked if I could speak with someone higher up and was told with a harsh tone NO I’m the highest it goes and I’m not changing it. This is unfair to me because as I told VICTORIA if I did it I wouldn’t have a problem paying for any damages. It breaks my heart that people will lie to your face and then be very nasty with a response. I then called VICTORIA back on her personal cell phone that she gave me to ask for pictures and if I have to pay for this can I get the two robes, towels and bedspread that I am supposed to had damaged. She did read my text message but however didn’t respond. I’m very disappointed because I went there this weekend to check out this venue to have my small intimate wedding nuptials and be told so many people about how great this establishment is. DISAPPOINTED AND DONT LIKE TO BE LIED ON. THIS IS MY INTEGRITY or am I being treated this way because I’m black !

The hotel is on a main road/highway so it detracts from the setting. When we went there was no caffeinated coffee available in the rooms. The woman told me to come down to the lobby if I wanted any. The pool is eh. It is not very big and only 5ft deep. A large part of it is 1 ft for wading. There is also an on an off again weird odor wafting through the lobby.

saw the pictures and decided to give it a try..The entrance is impressive to see-the minute you walk in you are hit with that wow factor. We took a seat at the bar which is also distinctively done. We ended up dining there-and the food ws amazing! My husbands filet and my scallops were cooked to perfection..and dessert-our amazing bartender served us bananas foster..Can't wait to go back!

I travel every week for work and from I minute I walked in the front door The Swiftwater made a positive impression. From the front desk to staff throughout, it was a great 3 night stay. The rooms were spotless, every amenity thought of from the bathroom to the bedding and work area. The pool, restaurant and outdoor fire pits areas were amazing. This is the place to stay when you are in the Poconos.

The hotel has just opened and it is magnificent.The only luxury hotel in the poconos.5 star service thru out.Spotless and great service from everyone.Room was everything you could hope for.Serious thought went into every aspect of the rooms.The only negative there was the restaurant.The food was great,service was excellent,but the portions would not feed a child.No salad or bread.No other itemsbut for the entree.It was presented well but was so small it looked like an appetizer.Had to go out and grab fast food after eating.
