Great , I will stay here again

The front desk staff and the cleaning lady is quite friendly. They were attentive to our requests and asked if we needed anything else. It was a great stay since they provide not only washing machines in the room but also the free detergent. They basically thought about the convenience of their guests. The refrigerator in the room is also a plus since we had some drinks that needed to be refrigerated. The size of the room is big enough and the rooms are clean and bright. The closest subway station is 10-15 mins by walk. Some people in the review section complained about the voices coming from the highway; but for our experience, we did not hear any disturbing voice from outside. I think it was a quite area. Although the hotel location is not at the middle of the city center, it is still quite convenient to travel thanks to the close subway station and It is not really far from the city center. There are markets and restaurants nearby. If I visit Suzhou again, I will definitely prefer this hotel. It provided the best experience for us among the others we have stayed so far.

Ok room for the price. No bad surprises. Two bad things: location is quite boring, the sound isolation is bad. The rooms are on the streets and the windows are using one layer so there are no difference By closing them or not. Earplugs are recommended.

We had a quick night in Suzhou as we had some business in the area of the Chengyue.  As we are on a lengthy trip in China and managing the budget, and were only in Suzhou for one night, we were seeking value for money and a good budget hotel.  The Chengyue fits the bill.  Not an area you would stay in a tourist, but if you have other business or a reason for being in this area, it is a just fine.  The young lady at the reception desk was very welcoming and helpful.  Our room was right near the reception, which was very easy.  There is a nice recreation area with a billiard table in the reception area.  They have attempted to create a fun, young vibe in the hotel.  In fact, I would definitely recommend the Chengyue for younger travelers.  The room is very basic and small, but clean and comfortable for short stays.  There are some great restaurants right next to the hotel.  Explore the area a bit and you will find everything that you need.  All in all, a nice stay, great budget hotel.

We were given a free room upgrade when we arrived. Big plus about this place, there was a washing machine in the room so it was very convenient to do our laundry. It was great as we needed to wash our clothes after many days of traveling. The hotel also provided the washing liquid. Bus stop was right in front of the hotel so it was easy to travel around.

The price was cheap and the staff was friendly, but there was only a little shampoo and no shower gel. The toilet was not washed, the shower room was uncomfortable because the water splashed directly into the toilet, and it was noisy because it was right next to the highway.
