The hotel has a good location — it’s within walking distance to a mini market, shopping mall, restaurants, and cafés. The male receptionist was very friendly and polite. However, the lady at reception was not friendly !We were only provided one bath towel, and when we requested another from her, she refused. I don’t understand why she declined to provide an extra towel.

The hotel is located away from public transport. Road/footpath to the hotel is not smooth, very bumpy for luggages and a long walk. The receptionists are Chinese and do not even speak basic English. It's hard to communicate. When we requested to store our luggage prior to checking in, the staff pointed to the storage room and we had to do all the moving, storing, and adjusting for space ourselves. Staff just sat behind counter the whole time. When asked about how to get to the Hwaseong Fortress, whether to turn left or right, she said she doesn't know and told us to find out ourselves. When we wanted to check in to our room, they said our room is located in the opposite building. As we moved our luggage from storage to the opposite building, both staff just sat behind the counter without even offering the least of help. Very unhelpful and unfriendly. Please avoid unless you speak good mandarin and good korean.

It is quite hidden to find it. As there aren't many parking spaces, you need to go to the reception and he's even going to park your car where a cone is reserving the parking space for the Malu Hotel after you check-in. The bed was a bit bouncy but okay, as I didn't slept much. You can hear people talking in the corridor through the door. There was a small kitchen with a kettle and microwave. A fridge and tiny freezer in it, with bottles of water. The shower head handle was cracked so the water was leaking from there too, but I had a nice hot shower with a big towel since a long time.

Hotel from train station is slightly further than my previous hotel location but still is a short walk to the food street with many eateries. The bathroom is clean but the mattress is soft.
