"Hotel is very nice, big hotel we choose the room is annex room and have to walk and find the aisle its quite difficult to find . The onsen is good, annex building have onsen too and also mountain stone sauna, some area is pay area and have free area as well, have to ask, not all the staff can speak english i think only 1 staff can speak english and very friendly. When you check in have to pay 150yen for the local onsen tax. Left side of the hotel have many restaurant, lawson"

"It was the first night of my entire trip—and also the most expensive one. But it was absolutely worth it! Lake Suwa was right in front of the hotel. If you take the train, it might be a bit of a walk, but since I drove, the location was perfect. The hotel was incredibly spacious, and the onsen was lovely. Dinner (a full course meal) was exceptional, and breakfast was just as impressive—absolutely delicious! One thing I still wonder about: what were those insects outside the window at night? They clung to the glass, and I was afraid they might get inside. Thankfully, the window seals were excellent, so none of them made it indoors. Only the outdoor bath had a few, which was understandable. I truly hope I can go back again—with my mom next time!"

"Positive aspects: The hotel is right next to Katakura-kan, about a 10-minute walk from Kami-Suwa Station, 8 minutes from Lake Suwa, and a FamilyMart convenience store is a 3-minute walk away. It's a Route Inn chain hotel, and has most of the basic amenities expected of a three-star hotel. Cleanliness and common facilities are adequate. Because it's a small town and the off-season, it's very quiet. A notable feature is its own free onsen (hot spring) public bath. The room was booked late, and the 350 yen room rate including a buffet breakfast was reasonable. Negative aspects: The hotel seems to have been operating for a long time and is somewhat outdated. Because it's a small town, there are no restaurants near the hotel; you need to go to the train station area to eat."

"This is a great hotel! Especially I like it about breakfast and onsen . Breakfast is the all-you-can-eat style . You can eat rices, soup ,breads,meets,vegetables,fish,milk,tea,juice,coffee,fruit and so on. Onsen is not wide but it’s very beautiful! Have a good trip!"

"It is close to Kamisawa Station. The hot springs aren't spacious, but they are nice. There isn't a convenience store right next door, but it is just a short walk away. All the staff are very friendly! I would like to thank the female staff member at the front desk who kindly assisted me in English. The lobby on the first floor is also really pretty. If you are visiting Suwa, I highly recommend this place."

"This is the hot spring hotel I stayed at most this year. It's located right on the shore of Lake Suwa, a bit of a walk from the station, but you can find some beautiful scenery within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. It's a very cost-effective hot spring hotel. The only drawback is that there's only one Chinese restaurant on-site; otherwise, you'd have to walk a bit to find other restaurants."

"For the price, I expected a bit more. The food and onsen were good, and the service was very good. However, the room felt off, it was warm in autumn, the air purifier looks not premium, and when I checked whether I could open the window, I noticed the upper window frame was quite dusty. "It was completely unexpected to be able to book this old-fashioned Japanese hotel on Ctrip. April is the off-season for tourism in Suwa City, so the price was very cost-effective. There is relatively little public transportation in Suwa City. After arriving at JR Kamisuwa Station at night, it takes 20 minutes to walk to the hotel. The sign at the door ”Little Hot Spring Hotel by the Lake” makes people laugh. The hotel is run by an old couple in their fifties and sixties, and the reception is very attentive. The room was as expected neat and clean, and the mottled marks on the furniture matched the overall style of the hotel. Moreover, there was no smell that I thought there would be when sleeping on tatami mats in a humid environment by the lake. There are preparation instructions in the room. Although they are not in Chinese, the content is relatively concise and can be understood. There is a restaurant on the first floor, and next door is a small hot spring with clear water and a suitable temperature. It was unexpected that the convenience store 5 minutes' walk from the hotel closed at 17:00 in the afternoon. The 24-hour convenience store required about 15 minutes' walk. None of the nearby restaurants offer breakfast, so it is best to experience the classic Japanese breakfast at the hotel. Dinner is also available here. The lake view room faces Suwa Lake, which brings you a smooth and panoramic view of Suwa Lake. At the same time, the noise of cars on the lakeside road at night will cause some discomfort. Consider this when choosing a room type. Surroundings: There are several restaurants next to the hotel open for lunch. There is a comprehensive hotel called Katakurakan about a 10-minute walk away where you can rent electric bicycles. It is a good choice to cycle around Lake Suwa and the city."
