Food was not nice at all, we arrived at breakfast day two 9:45am and we were told hot breakfast was closed even breakfast was not meant to finish until 10am

The hotel is a beautiful old building steeped in history. The grounds were stunning with the autumn leaves looking golden in the sunshine. The room was spacious and comfortable and the shower in the room excellent. Breakfast and all the other food we had (bar snacks) was delicious, very tasty, hot and served quickly by friendly members of staff, particularly Hannah who looked after us so well at breakfast on the Monday. The spa was great too. Not too busy, we were able to spend a couple of hours each day in the gym, pool, sauna and steam room. It was clean and the temperature was just right. We were well looked after by Sammie on reception who helped us with everything we needed. We treated ourselves to a treatment by the lovely Immie who was so friendly. We had a very enjoyable afternoon with her, she was a delight!
