Property Description
Snuggle up by the fireplace or relax in the hot tub, surrounded by woods and a stream on a real working farm. This genuine log cabin is located just five minutes from Interstate 77, tucked away in the foothills of North Carolina's Yadkin Valley Wine Region.
Guests soak up modern day luxuries while returning to a simpler time by enjoying rocking chairs or a swing on a front porch, while planning the next days' adventure. Visit Mayberry, Stone Mountain, Pilot Knob, or even the filming sight of The Longest Ride. Other attractions include numerous wineries and the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Excellent restaurants in the area combine great food and unique experiences. Many antique stores are available for "treasure seekers" in nearby Elkin, Mount Airy, Dobson, Pilot Mountain, and Fairview.
Fall brings colorful mountain views, the Autumn Leaves Festival (approximately 200,000 visitors) in Mount Airy and twice a year (Memorial Day and Labor Day) a huge "Hillsville, Virginia Flea Market"(enticing more than 500,000 people to the area).
The cabin, originally built as a simple farmer's home, now offers rest and relaxation to many husbands and wives looking for a romantic getaway, or just a quiet time away from it all. The cabin was perfect. All the amenities plus extras that you would need for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. It felt like you were going back in time with the look feel and decorations of the cabin was just what we needed.

Very cool cabin in remote setting. Booked a 1 night stay. Great place, located on the edge of working farm. Host provided good directions/instructions on how to find it, as it's remote and tucked away. Extremely peaceful and quite. Great couples getaway and easy to get to different attractions in the area. Nice amenities in the cabin and well taken care of.

It was easy to communicate with the owner. Very clean. Loved that the host provided snacks that we took with us to the wineries. Hot tub was relaxing with a private deck.

We had an absolute wonderful time the cabin has some of the neatest country at home feeling things. We looked at all the unique little things in there that brought back memories of both of our grandparents and family times. The scenery was amazing. For me the cows were an adventure because Im a city girl but he was raised working on a farm so it was a normal thing for him. He is a hunter so back in the woods is a huge plus for him. The hottub doesnt stay hot that would be my only complaint maybe it needs a little adjustment. We loved the cabin and probably will reserve it again

It was what we needed. It was quiet.
The downside was the shower was downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. The upside was visits from Lucy, the sweet German shepherd.

My wife (Crystal) and I love coming here. I think this is the fourth time we've stayed here while visiting the area. It's so quiet and peaceful here and the cabin is nice and comfortable. Of course sipping coffee while sitting in the hot tub in the morning is a big plus.
