We had a BW gift card that said "valid thru 8/3/25" The desk clerk, who was dressed very sloppily, insisted that the date of 8/3/25 meant that it could not be used until 8/3/25. We took a lot of time clarifying this with him. He clearly did not understand. We had followed all of the rules of the gift card. The next day at check out, he did credit our bill for the gift card. He should have been more educated about that "valid thru" means. Our room had 2 beds, no light above or between the beds. We needed an outlet for a CPAP machine. There was a portable outlet on the nightstand but the cord of the portable outlet was on the right side rear of the table with no wall outlet to plug it into. We called the desk clerk and he said he could be of no help in this situation. We had to move the furniture ourselves in order for this plug to reach a wall outlet behind the left bed. We were on a trip with a group. we were unable to stay for breakfast that began at 7. There was no coffee offered in the hotel lobby. We stayed in 6 different Best Westerns on our Southern California journey and this was the least desirable. There is a charge for parking of $10 , although the sign in the room said it was only $5, which the desk clerk said was an outdated hotel directory.

The staff was very sweet and friendly. It was clean. Hopefully, in the future they can switch to hardwood flooring vs carpet…it would feel cleaner. Bathroom was very clean, which is what we care about. We booked a balcony and we ended up with a harbor view because they were sold out, which is understandable since we booked from a third party and it was last minute. Internet and TV is not the best if you have kids.

This is an older hotel. But the rooms are large and clean, the breakfast options are numerous and the parking is great. The wifi was reliable and the staff very friendly. This was our second stay in 2 months. Our new go-to hotel for our beach trips.

Pros: Nice big room. Quiet on second floor. Safe area. Balcony with place to sit. Frig, coffeemaker, tv and good customer service. Breakfast is okay with variety. 10 minutes from Bolsa Chica.
Cons: No hot water from double sinks, Shower was okay. Parking very tight if you have big car or truck. Carpet on corners in 214 needs to be redone due to staples or small nails exposed. Electric plugs on lamps for charging are loose :( I would think of staying again if issues taken care of. :)

Nice to be on the harbor of Huntington Beach. Room lay out a little odd. Sink across from bed & next to TV was awkward Drom couch hadr to see TV because TV doesn'tswivel. Parking is limited and tight. Nice to havebreakfast available; a few choices as well..

A pretty standard cheap hotel at a not cheap price. How this place is rated an 8 is beyond me, if a Ritz Carlton is a 9+ then this place should be a 5.5 or 6 at best. Polite staff at a hotel in dire need of updating.

The property is old and needs new carpet and paint. Air worked good and the suite was comfortable with 4 adults. Just interacted with staff for checkin and it was quick and fine. Parking was nice. Nice restaurants are about 10 minutes away. Beds were comfy enough.
