As soon as the sun approached the horizon, the weather rapidly cooled. The 19 degrees Celsius was definitely cooler than the 19 degrees Celsius in Bangkok somehow. It was the end of the year when I was here. Came to Royal Good View Resort & Farm for 2 nights and we had to switch rooms because other guest had specifically booked this room this night and that room another night. Logistical puzzle it is when each unit is designed differently and exhibited their own unique personalities. I had unit 108, it was the last unit up the hill and the most private of them all. On the second night, we were moved to 106, the hot water in the bath did not flow well. Both units have a lovely rooftop lounge area, but it was in disarray and uncleaned maybe because of the lack of staff. I can live with that, I had my good view up there and the air was fresh. The most popular unit of them all is the one called Kaikoura (I don’t remember the number). It is located right next to the fence and the curious horses sometimes walked over to the delight of the occupants. The point of staying in this resort was that the kids got to roam the grounds with the sheep and horses during the hours of gentle sun. During the hotter afternoon, people will be out and abouts the attractions in the region. The café in the resort only opens from Friday to Sunday, so I was not able to have my decent coffee. Dinner on one of the nights we had in the resort. The spaghetti was generously loaded with more ingredients than pasta. The food here was ok. Breakfast was typical budget type and I was unfortunately served cold sunny side ups with yolk the consistency of clay. All in all it was a nice stay. Suan Phueng is easy to get to from Bangkok. It is less popular than the other tourist hot spots and therefore more of a local and calmer atmosphere. The best time to come, December January when it is cool.
