Building and Atmosphere: The hotel is housed in a charming and cozy building, described as a pub/inn with a historical atmosphere. Guests enjoy the character of the building and the welcoming bar area, which adds to the overall experience.

The location was great - right in the middle of Stratford and ideal for a theatre visit. The room was small and pretty basic, but it was clean with comfy beds so fine for overnight. The communication from staff was great - no onsite parking but a clear explanation of where the nearest car park was (very close) and how to get the best price. Very helpful staff. Didn't use the bar area so can't comment on food or drink, but it was welcoming and there was a pleasant outside area. Tea / coffee and kettle provided. Clean if small shower room. Overall really good value for the price and would definitely stay there again.

Pleasantly surprising accommodation. Although the room was small & basic there were some nice touches. Supplied in the room were tea & coffee facilities, 2x bottles of water, hairdryer, iron, spare electric heater and toiletries. The room was clean and the shower was lovely hot water.

The hotel is inside a small pub with few rooms, not far from Shakespeare's birthplace and some restaurants around here!

Room was mostly clean (apart from the used fish and chip fork in the drawer), but a bit scruffy and very tired looking. No wardrobe/hanging rail apart from some coat hooks and coat hangers on the back of the main door. Bathroom was fine with powerful shower. Linen and towels all well laundered and shampoo/soap supplied. Curtains too short for the bay window and quite thin so exterior pub lighting and street lighting illuminate the room. Large and quite bright illuminated fire exit sign inside the room bathes the whole room in a green glow at night making sleep difficult. Location is good being bery central to the town. While there is no on-site parking there is a multi storey car park immediately behind the pub. It’s a slightly basic / seems to be a local’s pub rather than touristy and not somewhere I would choose to drink/eat myself if I popped my head through the door. Overall I cannot recommend it.

We stayed here briefly in October on a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. It is on a quiet steet, and is situated above a pub with same name. The owners are friendly enough, and the idea of a pub downstairs was interesting. Unfortunately it wasn't a typical English pub in the sense of quiet with people chatting. In the evenings it more or less turns into a bar with loud music. This lasts until midnight. When one books a B&B one expects a reasonably quiet atmosphere. The owners should make this point clearer in their advertising. If you want a typical B&B, this is not your place. The rooms are basic, the WIFI didn't work once in our stay. I saw this exact comment in a review from several months ago, so getting to it does not seem to be a priority. If you want a cheap room in a convenient location and can put up with loud music until midnight, this is fine. Had we known the extent of the noise at night we would not have stayed here.
