Stayed for my birthday for 2 nights, spacious temp controlled rooms, big king bed and spacious lit bathroom. We ate Sunday roast which they kindly found us a table and we stayed all afternoon relaxing and having a great time in the bar and restaurant. Thanks for a splendid time felt throughly looked after, would definitely visit and stay again, brilliant staff all very helpful and friendly. Best Steve and Lily. X

Lovely stay, great location, clean and well stocked room. Hair dryer and straighteners lovely touch! The room itself was very small, for two nights it was okay, but getting ready in the mornings was a faff due to limited space. Any longer I can imagine it getting a little tedious. We stayed at Stuart House which was just a short walk/drive away from the main hotel, it gave very Airbnb vibes which we both liked. The bell itself is a lovely little pub, friendly and accommodating staff. We ate here one night too and the food was very good! Overall I’d stay again, just opt for a bigger room next time.

The management was kind enough to offer a price adjustment since our room had neither a working hair dryer nor a working bedside lamp. Even so, I can't recommend it and would not go back. The sheets and towels were clean, but much else was not. The carpet was filthy, the finish on the toilet seat was delaminating from the wooden seat, and the teacups and coffee machine were dirty. It's a shame because it's in a nice location.

We booked in for a night and probably expected more than we got. We turned up at the bell, got our luggage out the car and, in excessive heat, dragged our stuff into the pub. Greeted by a nice lady who told us we were actually in their Stuart House rooms up the road in the town, gave us directions and we duly dragged everything back out, packed it back in the car and went to find Stuart House. We navigated the very small car park and unpacked the car to then get our luggage down a very narrow path and squeeze past a tree, debating if we were going the right way. A person with disabilities would not get along it. The room (Hedgehog) was aesthetically very pleasing and fairly clean but a tight squeeze, expected in an old Cotswold building. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful. There was a well stocked mini bar and hamper, coffee machine and a bottle of water but the lid had been left off of that so we bought our own. Also promised was a complimentary treat, that was not there. The bed was not comfortable so not much sleep was had and the window is right on a main road, so people are walking past, so close its like they're in the room with you. The blinds were broken so we had to hang toilet roll in the gap for privacy. This room was expensive at £118 and our breakfast was not included so it is not somewhere we would stay again. However, we did go to the Bell pub for a drink in the evening, people that were eating, the food looked fabulous so it may have been better had our room been there as we initially thought it would be.

Really lovely pub in Stow in the Wold serving a good, varied menu. The food was delicious, staff very friendly and good service. Having recently started to follow a gluten free diet I was pleased to find several options available. Can highly recommend.

Stayed in a lovely room called The Hedgehog, in the Stuart House building. Classed as 'cosy room' and yes it was, but cosy, comfy and had all that we needed for a 1 night stay, I would have liked a bigger room if staying longer. Shower door was also a bit tight, hitting bathroom door when opening it. We were with friends, and hadn't realised we had booked the other building to them, which was annoying, the booking did say, I just hadn't noticed. Stuart building was not obvious to find initially, albeit they did give us a little map, with photo, so be patient- the front entrance is on the next road, the photo they give is the back entrance on the same road. We had a short walk back to the main pub for breakfast, which was good quality, well presented and ample. No fruit or yogurt, but several choices from the menu, and extra bread to toast, with jams etc. Pub is also very comfy, with a real fire and great ambience. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was next to the road, which was a bit noisy, and a couple of extra sockets would have been useful, as I couldn't find a handy place to boil the kettle. We were really comfy in the room, and the little niggles didn't really matter, so not complaining. Would stay there again very enjoyable
