"Never been treated so bad! No hot water on Sunday morning. As I asked for hot water I was told “No, you wait until it’s fixed.” And afterwards when I tried to explain the inconvenience I was told: I hate you people, referring to my disability . When my friend asked the lady behind the reception desk what she meant, she even said: “I don’t hate you guys, I hate her sort.” Never been so baffled! Horrible place."

"Room 31 was one of the romantic rooms and was quite nice. It had a separate lounge room with a soft lounge and a good sized balcony looking out over the edge of town. The bedroom had a lovely four poster bed which was very comfortable. The room was light and airy and offered some nice touches including welcoming chocolate and a fruit basket. The window had shutters which blocked out most of the light and noise. The bathroom was very good with plenty of space, a bath and shower and excellent amenities. The breakfast buffet was extensive with hot breakfast and salmon to compliment the usual buns, cereals and yoghurts. The breakfast room had a nice outlook over the small garden. Staff were helpful and genuine. The hotel is set back from the main road via a short climbing winding back road. It makes for a quiet location. It is only a short walk to the information centre and a little further to town but the first part of the walk is quite steep. Only a few hundred metres away is the old town and Stolberg Castle."

"Unfriendly staff : When parking, we were given a card that had to be returned at checkout. Unfortunately, our card slipped while taking it out of the machine, and someone else kindly picked it up and handed it to the staff. At first, they told us it was fine and that they had our card, but later they demanded we pay for it, claiming it hadn’t been “properly returned.”"
