We were woken up quite early by sirens, this is next to a busy road. It was a lovely stay though

The Hotel was incredible good located, the Garden surrounding the Hotel was amazing. The breakfast was quite full and also the food was fresh. The bar tender Silvester was amazingly kind, and he was really keen on preparing all cocktails. The receptionist Walmer was also so kind, we forgot the charger adapter and he gave us one! Also he was always prepared to solve any questions we had!! Our experience was much more of what we were expecting. I definitely recommend this Hotel, not only for the building but for all the staff!! Definitely my Number one come back 🇦🇷

We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a more professional, caring team than Stoke Place. From our very first visit right through to the day itself, every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable. A huge special mention goes to our wedding coordinator, Tracey, who was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we started planning, she was there every step of the way – patient, organised, and always ready with advice or solutions. She made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless, and on the wedding day itself, she ensured everything ran flawlessly behind the scenes so we could simply relax and enjoy it all. The master of ceremonies provided by the venue was another brilliant touch – calm, clear, and professional. He made sure our guests always knew where they needed to be and kept the flow of the day seamless from start to finish. The venue staff were a credit to Stoke Place: every visit leading up to the wedding was met with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, and on the day they delivered exceptional service with precision and care. The food was ffantastic, every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Our guests are still raving about it weeks later, calling it some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Stoke Place truly exceeded every expectation. The combination of stunning surroundings, outstanding service, and such a dedicated team gave us a day that we’ll cherish forever. We can’t thank Tracey and everyone at Stoke Place enough for giving us our perfect wedding day.

This place is in a beautiful location but so badly needs renovated and cleaning.. dust and muck everywhere (shelves, TVs, corners, skirting boards) but worst was when I went into bathroom which had not been cleaned at all (see photo).. just disgusting. To be fair, they moved me ( as housekeeping had all left for day).. but this really should not happen. Lots of steps, narrow and dark corridors, uneven floors. Just needs a little attention from a builder to lighten the place. Food is bland and heavy. Good if you like big portions.. not so much if you expect flavour!

Our room a delux double was facing the front of the house which was a bit disappointing but it was clean though dark decor and also a bit small, the bathroom was huge, bright, modern and the walk in shower was lovely. The reception area was a desk in the hallway where you book in, it seemed odd to me. I'm not sure what it was trying to be. The carpets on the stairs and to the rooms need a deep clean as they were stained. The King and Lamb restaurant is lovely, and the staff good and attentive, but not enough of them. It was clear they were pushed for time when there was a separate function on within the hotel (a prom) They appeared cool and calm, but paddling desperately underneath. The food was beautiful and our compliments to the chef. Overall our stay was relaxed, but the hotel needs a few tweaks to make it the 4* it says it is
